  • Front Row V Manly ??

Don't be surprised if Napa is cited for high contact with his shoulder. Not a shoulder charge but his shoulder still made contact with the head of the opponent. Not sure how bad his record is but I think he was placed on report. Even if he was not, it will be looked at.

Evans went off with concussion . Who knows if he plays this weekend.

    JWH gone for season.

Rumors of Moa returning but it may be two weeks still.

Gonna be interesting to see what our forward pack looks like, particularly the front row.

I think Jennings will miss a week and Napa probably two with his record. Not that I agree, but it's quite likely given the MRCs woes.

And assuming Moa isn't back I think we'll see:

    8. Liu
    9. Friend
    10. Matagi
    11. Cordner
    12. Guerra
    13. SST

    14. Evans
    15. Manu
    16. Aubusson
    17. McIllwrick

Personally I'm that terrified of injuries I'd sit the entire first grade team!

      8. Matagi
      10. Napa

      15. Evans
      16. Manu/Setu/Random Wyong, U20's dude

If Evans is out well shit. Though we'd still have a better front row then Manly.

Wait wait wait wait , are you talking about that thing in the second half with Darius Boyd ????

Mate if he misses any games for that, I'll give it up. It wasn't even a penalty. It wasn't a highshot. It wasn't a shoulder charge. The commentators even said that the only reason why he may have stayed down is heavy contact and being sandwiched between two players in a tackle.

Think Evans will be ok. This concussion rule is over the top. Was a bit groggy after that head knock but who wouldn't be?

Hopefully young Willis Meehan realises what a massive opportunity he's missed through his own stupidity. He was next in line for first grade earlier in the season and this loss of JWH could have been his big chance to make an impact in the NRL at a successful club. Could have been a real x-factor for us in my opinion. What an idiot!

A bit more on topic, I don't think Napa will be suspended. It was a nothing shot. Should never have been put on report.

If he is though and Moa is still out I guess we still have quality first graders in Matagi, Liu and Evans (who I think will be fine). SST can also play prop with Guerra, Cordner and Aubusson all 80 minute players thankfully. If we want those boys to have a rest then I'd bring Vincent Leuluai in for his debut.

If Evans is out too we'll be struggling to field a pack. Matagi, Friend, Liu, Cordner, Aubusson, Guerra, with a bench of Taukeahio, Leuluai, Setu (I think he's injured though), McIllwrick. Pretty average bench but I doubt it will get to that. Manly look pretty average anyway today.

Manly in 2011 won a granfinal with a prop rotation of Joe Galuvao , Brent Kite, Vic Mauro and George Rose.

I think that goes to show that all you need is one decent metre making forward who can play long minutes. Napa is key. Matagi, Evans and even Moa can play second fiddle.

The SST & Liu rotation, in tandem with Moa/Napa/Evans/Matagi, is still quite formidable. Add in Cordner and even Guerra on the edges and we're still a powerhouse team. And then you have RTS to start the sets.

Even without JWH we ****ing murdered the Broncos in the forwards. We finished our sets on their 20-30m line, they finished theirs inside their own 40m. Utter domination.

Meanwhile Manly just lost and must surely now be planning their Mad Monday celebrations rather than gearing up for a tough encounter with us on short rest.

It was not a shoulder charge. That's not the problem. His shoulder still hit the dude in his jaw which you can't do. I have no doubt it was an accident and just one of those things that happens in footy. But the MRC don't seem to care if it's an accident or not.

Seriously Moa is definitely back, Evans looked fine post game. We will only lose JWH and Moa and Matagi will come in.

Willie Mason to have his 1 good game of his career and carve up our forwards, throwing Manly into the finals mix.

napa's shoulder was no where near the cat's head. He fell into Napa's bicep as he was tackled by Friend ( I think). The elbow wasn't tucked, therefore no shoulder charge, and no contact of the shoulder on the head.
