  • Jennings only player charged this week

    http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/s...24-gj6cda.html
Already without Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Mitchell Pearce, the Roosters have been dealt another blow with Michael Jennings facing a one-game ban.
Jennings was handed a grade one careless high tackle charge for his hit on Brisbane's Darius Boyd. He will miss a game even with an early guilty plea unless he proves his innocence.
After last week's shoulder charge crackdown – followed by a farcical judiciary hearing where three players were cleared – only one player was pinged for a shoulder charge by the match review committee. Canberra's Joseph Leilua is facing two games out for his grade one tackle on David Mead. Mead's Titans teammate Ryan James may miss one game for a grapple tackle while Kane Elgey and Junior Paulo will not miss games with early guilty pleas.
St George Illawarra's Jake Marketo has accepted a one-game ban for a shoulder charge while Tyson Frizell won't miss a game with his early guilty plea for tripping.

Not worth fighting imo. Even with no risk of further suspension.

Could we see Latrell on the wing?

I can see Maubs in the centre and McIlwrick on the bench.

Or Maybe SKD back. That would make me so happy

No point fighting it, wouldn't get off and probably deserves a week on the sidelines.

He should have hit that cat harder. He is the most obnoxious player in the game. He makes Michael Ennis look loveable and Justin Hodges look like Pope Francis.

                  I would consider this.

I watched Manly v Parra yesterday and they are ordinary.

Latrell and RTS can also rotate giving him a taste of the FB role. Rog can have a spell on the wing.

I 100% agree, but what's good for us, and what's best for him probably doesn't align.

                      This isn't under 7's.

This is an opportunity for Latrell to make his debut. However, whether Robbo decides to give Mitchell his debut and put Elliott in the centres is another story.

I reckon he will go with the safe option and go with Aubs in the centres.

The only issue with Aubs in the centres is, with JWH out, this will weaken our bench even further and probably have to include someone like McIlwrick or Manu on the bench. Both of which aren't great replacements.

I rather go with Mitchell on the wing and keep Aubs on the bench.

PS. way too early in Mitchell's career and way too late in the season to be playing around with switching between him and RTS at FB during a game. Especially with Pearce out.

I would persist with Fergo and Elliot on the right to build combo. Maubs to left centre (to keep Lyon in check) and McIlwrick on the bench as the utility. These changes will cause the least disruptions to our team. Damn these injuries and suspensions!
But as others have mentioned, we have good depth this season and can still field a team that will be extremely competitive because our side is so well balanced!

Mcillwrick, will never see first grade again at the Roosters.

I would fight it, was nothing in it, just a stupid put on report gesture, by the usual under performing referee's.
