There's a lot of pressure in the NRL these days, to be perfect on the field, and perfect off the field...especially when you're not even 25 yet.
Winning the Dally M is not a tragedy...nor is helping us make the GF last year...from the basement cellar the year before.
His father and mentor died when he was 20 or so.
He couldn't cope and drank to forget.
Drank too much and made mistakes.
He's not the only one, the courts are full of sinners every day, every court in the land.
Mothers high range drink-driving with 5 kids in the car, for example.
Her female drinking buddies not stopping her from driving after almost 'emptying the champagne factory'.
Hopefully there's someone living with him 24/7 to guide him.
