There's an argument that Maloney should fight his charge. Fights and loses, he still gets to play with 75 carry over points; accepts early plea gets 56 points; fights and wins has a clean slate for the finals.
Relevant questions: are there offences that are less than 44 points? (If there aren't, then he loses nothing by fighting - unless he subsequently is found guilty of an offence carrying 125 -143 points where we still have two games to play.)
Is it better to put it all behind him and get on with the week? (Maybe.)
Can he get off? (Not sure of the criterion for tripping, but surely it has to be a real attempt using significant force - Jimmy's leg was brushed aside like an old cobweb.)Last edited by zac; 09-07-2015, 06:12 PM.
