  • Adrian Morley to retire after 20 years in the game

In the UK at the moment, turned on the TV and the first words I hear are "Adrian Morley" and "Sydney Roosters". The great man is retiring, aged 38:

Good luck to Moz, I would like him to come and retire out here, and get some sort of job with us, defence coach for the young blokes, god knows we need one, like all the under 20 sides, they have no idea, when it comes to tackling.

I'd love a dollar for every time I've rewound and watched Moz's smashing of Vilasanti in the 2002 GF. I loved watching this bloke play for us, he put real fear into opposition players.

Would be great to see him back in the fold.

      Chook.

So much love for this man.

You'd pick him everyday in an all-time team to play for your life.

A stand out in three straight GFs.

Yeh great to watch loved his toughness...unfortunately as much as he was penalised back when he was with us, the judiciary today would rub him out every other week today with his tackling style. Such a shame the game has lost that toughness.......some of it is now quasi touch football!!

A true Roosters legend is our Moz. Would love to see him out here, but I suspect he and his family are very settled back in the Old Dart.

My fave jersey I am wearing tonight has 2 signatures on it - Moz on one shoulder, Luke 'Diamond' Phillips on the other. Signed in 2002, so the ink has faded, but the memories certainly haven't (yet anyway).

Ah, the good old days ..

What a great man, on and off the field.

Had a nice chat with him a couple of years ago when he was out here with Warrington running a kids coaching clinic. He's very happy back in UK, so doubt he will come back to aussie.

The following is not an attempt at oneupmanship.

I still have the jersey Freddy bled on when I hugged him at the ground.
