  • Go forward has been flattered in recent weeks and Maloney looked tired

    The storm are superbly coached.
They stopped the forward bullying that has been against packs not really motivated in recent weeks.
Jimmy looked lost for answers and the strain of carrying the team in recent weeks has mounted. I saw the same thing at the Warriors when he was career best form there but played very flat in the semis.

    Bang bang. We are gone

Yeah it'll be VERY hard from here.

Dogs, Broncs/Cows away before the GF. That's too much for any team.

Such a promising season and what a crashing halt. So disappointing two years in a row.

Yep... we're the better team but they trained to win a final. They played a slow, negative game that involved:
        - Grabbing on for hours in every tackle so that RTS/SDK/Fergo/Toops/Jennings can't be themselves
        - Taking a year to get up when they were ahead and tackled (runs down the clock)
        - Massive walls of obstruction (aka players conveniently positioning themselves in front of the runner preventing tackles)...
        - Cronk doing his trademark pass into the player running back onside.

Negative game but what lost it for us was that:
        - Maloney missed his conversion.
        - Jenko bombed a sure try.
        - We let in at least 1 easy try.

They played a boring but consistent, certain and skillful game, proving yet again that they know how to win finals matches!

Surely Hastings last game. We can't afford to drop a forward for Pearce.

Hastings won't play again.... Gould kept going on about his accuracy on fifth kicks for the last month..........thanks Gus.....they were rubbish tonight. The bomb to nobody in the 77th minute had me pretty fired up

There is a fundamental flaw in our game. We are so caught up with "playing our footy", we don't take account of what's happening In front of us. Once Harris went to centre, we should have been running down that side all night. Early ball and relentless running at their left side. I've noticed it in other matches. What seems to be an obvious avenue to attack gets largely ignored. Mostly we are good enough to get away with it. Tonight we weren't.

Can't believe people are giving up already. Glad I don't have to go to war with you ppl. The white flag would be up pretty quick. Ride to where the cannons fire loudest. If that's an away game at suncorp or Townsville then so be it.

Well there wasn't the hits in defence from the last 12 weeks. Can anyone recall any of their players being hit like last week? Perhaps we were worried about getting suspended because last week there were a few close calls.
