2 of "them" are our coach Trent Robinson and co-captain Jake Friend.

You'll find that your well and truly in the minority.

      We've got him again!

Cecchin is head referee, Cummins assistant.

      Incredible.

        That's unbelievable.

We need to get the message to this fkhead BEFORE the game so that he thinks twice about stitching us again.

              No ****ing way.

              I think we're underdogs now.

              Cecchin isn't much better.

It will take a monumental effort to win from here.

Let me assure you, the Storm were offside for at least 3 tackles every set. I kid you not. Not a single penalty. The pocket ref managed the first 3 tackles waving his arms trying to get Storm onside without once blowing his whistle.

Dead set wrong. Then we have Wrestlemania which I believe we could have managed better.

also no other game was reffed like this all weekend.
                Hey axe,

In your honest opinion, did you notice if we were allowed the same leniency of being offside?

If he's refereeing all that means is they want us eliminated at all costs to get their 'different winner each year'. It makes me sick to the gut the way they treat us.

I can't help but think that this is an inside job to clear the path for the Broncos in the Prelim.

We know the lengths they went to to get Souffs home last year.

                    Is history repeating?

Surely you didn't really expect anything else from the NRL.

Nothing will ever change until the Club sues them.

                            Good question, Milanja.
I'll answer my question by saying that the very same pocket ref was NOT waiving his arms around to get easts back onside. He WAS doing this for the first 3 tackles of every set for Melbourne with NO PENALTY. It was most notable.

Referees whether intentional or not can easily impact the result of a match. You are kidding yourself if you do not agree. Take a team that throws the ball around and mix a dose of refereeing that keeps the sides tight together. The match suddenly becomes more even.

Been watching it for years. The NRL protects its stars. Over the years I've watched several players and clubs protected from send offs, sin bins, penalty tries, MRCs... Sadly, I'm disillusioned. Turning into a grumpy old man, I guess

                              • This from Gus' column today: After winning 12 successive matches to win the minor premiership, scoring the most points and conceding the least, they are more than capable of emulating the feat of Melbourne in 1999 and winning this year's flag. However, I'm sure they'll be anxiously looking at the refereeing appointments for any remaining matches.

I'm sure they'll be hoping that last Friday's senior referee Ben Cummins has officiated in his last Roosters match of the season. Since winning the 2013 premiership, the Roosters have a winning percentage of 75.55 per cent under referees other than Cummins, but it drops to just 14.28 per cent when Cummins shares the field with them. They have lost every penalty count under him in this period and concede 73.52 per cent more penalties than they receive when he is one of the on-field officials.
