The game was refereed like an origin game, which suited the storm down to the ground, but it was reffed that way both ways. Our young forwards were simply rattled by being in am arm wrestle and had no ide how to assert themselves. JWH would have thrived tonight with so much leeway in the ruck. The last 2 weeks without him we've played a powder puff forward pack and then a forward pack who had chucked it in. They got false confidence that it was going to be that easy every week.
We lost tonight because our forwards got rattled, Maloney was off, and Friend played like he was back on the piss. Nothing to do with refereeing

I thought one of the crucial calls was the penalty they got when they lost control of the ball about 10 metres out. Cummins called that he lost control but the other dufus said hands in the ruck. They went up field to score the penalty goal to make it 8-8.
We lost the game ourselves but not refereeing the ruck played a big part but Robbo said he knew that would be the case in semis.
We really only started playing in the last 20 minutes when we had to score. We looked nervous and hesitant to take chances in the first 60 minutes.
We were trying to beat them in an arm wrestle which has not been our style this year. We played the way they wanted us to play and they are the best in that style game.
It was the worst we have played in 12 weeks and I doubt they could play any better. Just not our night but we will come back better for it.

Credit where it is due to Melbourne last night their 2nd half with ball in hand was faultless and that had nothing to do with CumminsLast edited by Andrew Walker; 09-12-2015, 08:47 AM.When you trust your television

Add the fact that Roger looked like a deer caught in headlights and the Storm played themselves to a standstill. Credit to them, but I think that was their Grand Final...
We'll be back but if we make the GF I hope we can handle the pressure better than we did last night?

The NRL would hesitate allowing him to referee another one of our games. A fair crack is all we want.
I will never forget cummins sending braith off after braith got punched in the face.Comment of the year:
