Jake Friend's kicking game is not up to standard and should not be kicking. We dearly missed Mitchell Pearce.

I don't think he played badly at all. You are right when you say he should not have kicked it on the 3rd tackle. But he has done that in the past and it has led to a try.
The reason we lost is because we had no go forwards in the first half. Coz of the wrestling of the Storm. We didn't really have a Plan B. They lost their way. In the second half there were times we were dominating but our last play options were terrible. I thought Jake was ok.

Heard Maubbs on the morning news saying that they weren't prepared for the wrestle. What? Makes you think that there was no pre game strategy to deal with a team that plays like that when their backs are on the wall. If so, that was pretty dumb. However, Lockyer said yesterday that teams get bored with winning so many games. Perhaps he is right and the fact that the team assumed that they would go through, just made them complacent. There's no complacency this week.

It was a shit decision in a long line of shit decisions that Jake has been making over the last month of footy. I don't know whats wrong with him but his attacking game has regressed badly of late.
Hopefully Pearce back next week makes Jake remember he is not supposed to try and lay on everything.

Jake's kicking game has been a big value add since his return from serious injury.
It's a great bonus to have him with that in his kit bag from dummy half and not just rely on the 6 and 7.#We Stand with ourJewish community#

He has done this a number of times this season, a few times he has got a repeat set but on most occasions just turning the ball over due to no one having any idea what he has in mind. Sometimes he varies it up by kicking on the 4th but unless you can execute the play perfectly and get a result, it is a needless low percentage play.
Cue BAW to have a whinge and RNB to jump to Jake's defence but it isn't personal, i would like him to put a bit more thought into this play that has crept into his game this year.
