Im just going by what I was told at the game tonight

Apparantly Sa, Lopini Peae, Anasta , Omeley are all on very long deals

Sa and Lopini are in the first of a 5 year deal

Anasta here till 2013?

Omeley here till end of 2011?

Wanted someone to verify this. It will involve some major manouvering to clear up some cap space I feel.

Mason and Kouparitsas here till end of 2010?

Pearce, Pez and SKD also retained for long deals? Right decision here

Personally i think we are still suffering imbalance problems from 2004/2005 when stuart got rid of large mobile forwards like Cusack, Cayless and tried to replace them with second rowers (Moz and Fitz).

We lost the balance. then we tried to make it up with players like beatie and nutley and O'Meley.

Thankfully we have Myles, FPN and Lopini, all large players, but fast and mobile.

We are still feeling the effects of stuart, it carried on to anderson and now fittler is just lost in the mess.

We need a coach that is experienced in forming a side and able to get the best from the players in the best positions.

Agree totally with Holmes' and Dolphin's comments above.
Carney, Lockyer, Thurston - all of them would be as effective as Pearce and Anasta are behind the current pack of Roosters nuffies, uh, I mean forwards.

That is not including Fitzgibbon and Soliola who have already been released, and Carney who is yet to sign. I would definitely look into re-signing Nuuausala, Myles, M Aubusson, Shackleton and Cherrington...Todd Carney should be signed too. The only way we could afford that, and maybe pick up one or two other smaller name signings, is to definitely cut at least one of Mason and O'Meley.

Fien is off contract, he might provide some nip from dummy half?

If it was me i would sign exactly as The Mack said: Nuuausala, Myles, M Aubusson, Shackleton and Cherrington.
Carney is already signed up, just hasnt been said officially yet.
The signing of the year for any team would be Kurt Gidley.
I would love to have him in our team, even though his contract isnt up but can you imagine a player like this to have as our own. He is what gets the Knights wins.
I think its time to put Williamson in our team though. Move Waqa out of our side, slide SKD onto the wing and have Williamson in our centres!
