I love it how that senile p*1ck warren keeps jabbing us with the "this could be RTS and Maloney's last game for the chooks" at the kick off , and "brilliant try from the warriors bound RTS" . Should have gone to the game were it not for the rain and the quality of opposition fans.

The commentators were shocked at first but conceded later that the most crucial aspect of the replay was that it showed the position of the ref and there was no camera in a better position. The press is trying to take the win away from us. Stuff them. The dogs still had to stop us from scoring further and failed to do so, so end of story.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)

It was a no try
I think if it was the dogs who scored the same try 95% of people on this forum would be blowing up saying clearly it was no try.
I don't think it effected the game as we had to step up a gear minutes before scoring and the defence was taking a toll on the dogs.
We need to play like we did in the last 20 minutes next week otherwise it will be mad Monday.

In non slow motion (which was showed only once out of about 50 replays in slo mo), which is the speed Cecchin saw it at, it lands 1 cm short of the line and rolls onto the line in 1 motion.
It was a try. Correct decision.
Ray Warren must have choked on a chicken bone as a child. It's the only explanation I can think of for why the poor old fool loathes us so passionately.

We all have an opinion and mine is that he was short.
The point I'm making is the classless attitude of the media and the way Columbo responded to it. As he pointed out, they had 30mins to respond. Instead they let us in a couple of minutes later.
Then today Andrew Webster writes how hard done by the Dogs are. Not once did he comment that the Roosters were the better team. It was a crap article. If a team wants to win a premiership they need to be able to deal with a 'setback'.Embrace the Hate! JC

I was willing him to score as he was struggling with the defenders GO BIG FELLA GET THERE BIG FELLA and I thought he scored as it happened I cheered Mind you never in my wildest dreams did I expect the referee to send it upstairs as a try

We will never get the game perfect, we just have to accept that, and move on.
Correct, especially when we consider the no try against Remi in last years semi vs the panthers..You win some and lose some as they say

IMO it was a try... the ref called try and no video evidence showed that his grounding of the ball wasn't on the line (although many will infer that it wasn't, and it may not have been).
End of the day, if 1 bad call is enough to break your mojo, do you really deserve to win a semi-final?

All you guys must know by now certain segments of the media will never credit us with a "clean" win. As long as I've supported Easts every big victory has always been balanced with some controversy,
2002 Gf, won by default,
2013 Gf forward pass (even though we won by 8pts, Der)
2014 Cowboys Try (which when every one sobered up the next morning admitted it was a knock on)
Now in a 38-12 flogging they've pulled the tweezers out on 'ONE" try!! give us a break.
They can all get F#cked, enjoy the win Bring on the Broncos.

I am overseas now so haven't even seen the game, but am amazed at the way the media are covering the game, given the score. Every article talks about a win "clouded in controversy". I only have the stats to look at and these suggest that the Roosters were completely dominant:
- half a kilometre more attacking metres
- 35 fewer missed tackles
- 8 more line breaks
- 38 points to 12
And - of course - despite this apparent domination, we lose the penalties 6-3, getting zero penalties in the second half.
Yes. We seem to have been very lucky to win this game. The Dogs were the better side, etc.

We were simply a class above and win easy anyway.
