not sure why but I'm strangely calm/confident about tonight, normally a nervous wreck going into a prelim.

I think Robbo will unleash Napa/Moa on Parker/Thaiday, the Broncos will have absolutely no field position if we can shut those two down.

The last time everyone was super confident on here we were beaten by the Storm. The place then went into complete meltdown. I feel more confident this week than last week against the dogs. But the Broncos have the advantage of the week off which really worries me, moreso than the home gound advantage.

Woke up today with no nervous butterflies when realising it's game day. An eerie calm.
Glad the game isn't in cold wet Sydney.

In the lead up to the Bulldogs game, I was nervous all week and felt so sick on game day. This week, the nerves only hit me today and nowhere near the same extent. We're looking forward to the game, wish I had gone to Brissy this time around.

I note that Ben Hunt is saying that, to beat the Roosters, the Broncos need to slow us down in the first couple of tackles.

Watch for this Bennett tactic - it's something his teams have been allowed to get away with throughout his whole career: kick the ball deep and for the first two or three tackles stand as offside as you like (I'm talking 6 or 7 metres offside in an arc around the ruck) and have your markers stand side-by-side. This not only contains the opposition, but leads to handling errors.

I don't expect the referees to help us, but how we handle this tactic will determine the result.

I've been calm all week until I had a nightmare yesterday during which I fell to sleep and missed the opening 10 minutes of the game. I turned on the tv and we were already 18nil down. That's when I woke up. Scary stuff.

And now I'm full of butterflies. Everyone's confidence makes me nervous...
