  • Robbos Stuff Up has cost us past 2 years

    Picking an underdone Pearce

Even if he was 100% I couldnt gaurentee he would deserve to start ahead of Maloney & Hastings, yet the coach plays the loyalty card

Same as playing the loyalty card last year with Mini. He sticks RTS at fullback in 2014 and watch him carve up running off SBWs offloads

This team had the chance to go down in history, they blew their chance

RTS has not learnt the art of support play yet. Mini was one of the best at it so your theory is a bit silly if you ask me

We were terrible lastnight, almost right across the park, I think we carried a lot of busted players into the game, and unfortunately paid the price. That try right on halftime really hurt us, at 16 - 12 going in at halftime, our tails would of been up , but after we were all thinking maybe SKD has changed his spots, it came back to bite us bigtime. Bur he wasent alone, RTS was very average, Guerra sat out in the backline a lot of the game hogging the ball, and stopping Jenko from getting his hands on the ball more often, he needs a full off season of learning how to pass the ball, Cordner was quiet for him, maybe the hip injury he picked up, was a problem for him. Our front rowers while they tried hard, never had control of the game at any stage, and we never played with any real plan, except to rush passes even in the early stages, which only led to dropped ball and missed opportunities. We really did miss JWH, when the chips were down, he was the form front rower in the comp when he went down, unreplaceable in our team. A sad ending to the season, mainly due to the poor performance against the storm two weeks earlier, we really need that week off, Now we are all Cowboy supporters for the rest of the season, would be good to see them break their drought, and with lots of Rooster connections in the side, a mini win for us, if they do win it.

Its not a stuff up its the opportunity of the coach to get his best 17 out there I knew if he could get pearce out there that Fergo would get good ball for sure and he did that....but didnt last.

Robbo has to take some responsibility for the loss however it wouldn't have made any difference if Hastings started and no Pearce imo.

Collectively the team wasn't mentally ready to play.

Also, Rogers performance throughout the final series was no greater than Minis 2014 finals campain so at least we can put that myth to bed.

Yes but he was a better captain and had vision in defense for the team ....always pumped them -In the end this time we didnt not handle the pressure at all at any stage of the game it was all panic after the first stuff up by SKD...Mini was good for that.

those looong passes the boys do on the kick return have been heart stopping, and I wonder if Bennett had his troops on high alert for an intercept. Why do they do it, more time for the opposition to get there.

And to watch no communication or awareness whatsoever with Roger and Tupou following that ball over the sideline, is crushing. Broncos couldn't believe their luck, but as Bennett must have told them Wait for the errors.

Guerra played the best "handbrake" role i can remember, stopped every backline move we had.

what disappointed me the most was our back up play, numerous occasions we had a player make a break or semi break, look around and no rooster in sight, broncos in comparison had the whole squad waiting to take the ball at every opportunity.

Our players must be banned from throwing those long passes on kick returns.

Who knows...maybe they've never had explained to them just how dumb it is.

Lots for coach Robbo to work on for next season.
...starting with not flogging the players in the off-season...and not having heavy weight training all next season at the expense of 'freshness', 'energy', and backing up in matches.

                            They were buggered.

That's what the week off is there for. That's why you need to win in week one of the finals. Something we've managed to balls up 2 years straight.

100%. That loss killed us, twice.

                              Chook.
