Injuries...Jake our main defender then...was in hospital in big trouble?

We had a very hard game against Souths in the last round in 2014, and Souths were on fire last season?

We were 'robbed' in the Storm game...seemingly-biased refereeing?

It doesn't matter what roster you have. You cannot win the comp without the ball and mastering the basics. Jack Gibson got a team in 1966 which lost every game to a semi final spot in 1967 just on simple, error free percentage footy.

Until this club addresses our error rate no matter how good our roster is we will not win another comp as witnessed these past two years.

Our error rate last week was 15 and this week 13. Brisbane only had 5 errors all game. If we don't go back to the basics we don't win another comp.

Why was Boyd there for the intercept? They knew as we always throw risky long passes in our own line which is so, so stupid as nothing is to be gained. They waited for our errors and got 12 points just from us for doing nothing.

Whos going to get us back to the basics and playing error free footy? So far two wasted years caused by bad ball handling. Who's going to fix this or are we going to just go after the best roster which clearly is not enough?

That's what the week off is there for. That's why you need to win in week one of the finals. Something we've managed to balls up 2 years straight.
Really puts in perspective what the hawks did last night then, in two weeks they have twice flown to perth to play a finals game, now they will win a 3rd successive title.

Spade a spade here Rogers semi final series was absolutely diabolical Cost us three tries two against Melbourne and one against Broncs last night two of those errors the one against Melbourne and the one last night were absolutely bumbling efforts the one last night was akin to Mini against Penrith Roger had a good season but he is no better with a rolling ball at 21 then a dodgy back Mini was at 34 Yet Mini was ridiculed by all and sundry on here with Roger we had one very vocal mIni detractor dismissing RTS error last night as unlucky It was a howler on par with SKDs

Grubbers away next year to RTS when we play Warriors Im sure we will get some joy out of it

That was said in hindsight. All medical evidence suggested Pearce was right to go. It was the correct call and the improvement with Pearce on the field was noticeable.

We went backwards when Pearce was off. Make of that what you will.

Unless you are part of the medical team I cannot see how you have any idea of what medical evidence suggested and a re meagrley quoting the club line on this before the game Pearce didnt last 80 minutes in fact he lasted 40 His own words were i really tested it out and it went again Wron g decision to play him No we dont win and we probably get beat by more without him he was probably our best in the 1st half But we now have a hlfback with dodgy hammy whom we rushed back and broke down again This will niggle him throughout his career it is now a weakness he has to carry with him for the rest of his career had we not played him he is fit and healthy next year This is why in my eyes it was a poor decision to play him

This week on NRL 360 Robbo said Pearce would have played against the dogs if it was a grand final. Implying there was always a risk of reinjury which he would have been prepared to take for a grand final but not beforehand. So your argument of risking reinjury doesn't hold up. That decision was already made, as it was last year with the Friend injury.

In any case, quote from Robbo: "I didn't think it was a roll of the dice". Implying he didn't think there was any significant risk of injury for this game.

I believe the Pearce analysis has to do with preconceived notions. His start didn't cost the game, it's there for all to see. Nobody can say how Hastings would've started, that's all speculative. It proves nothing. The players have said how much more they prefer Pearce in the side than not, and his marshalling was evident for Ferguson's tries. What else is there to go on.

The finger pointing is at the two brainfarts gifting the first couple of tries.
                      What a way to go.

If that game was played at Allianz we probably win.

Another example of the NRL treating the minor premiership with no regard.
Finish on top after 26 rounds of effort, have an upset loss in one friggen game, and pack your bags to play in Brisbane.
The final series have become like a bloody lottery.

I was about to say, there's no incentive for a team finishing top of the heap. Meaningless.

Not really mate. You just have to win them. Pretty simple. Something we can't seem to do though. 30% finals record this past 2 seasons.

Milanja you maybe right with the second part and that may have had a bearing on the Guerra comment , I had a quick look at his stats and it has him For 7 tackle busts (116 m and 35 tackles ) not that shabby.
I would say by the late shift of Boyd to lock , Che was given the primary job of containing Hodges, but where was the support in the line breaks?

Our biggest down fall apart from enthusiasm was the lack of pressure put on the Broncs halves paring

what disappointed me the most was our back up play, numerous occasions we had a player make a break or semi break, look around and no rooster in sight, broncos in comparison had the whole squad waiting to take the ball at every opportunity.
