  • Why so many dropped balls?

Why so many errors? We have the best roster in the comp yet can't get into a grand final?

The major flaw in this side is that it coughs up so much ball and gives away so many penalties that in crucial games it's backs never see enough ball to win the game.

It's absolutely certain that we would have won last night had our backs had enough ball. Last week 15 handling errors and this week 13. Brisbane had only 5.

Why are our ball skills and discipline so bad?

If Robbo doesn't change our playing style to a percentage error free game we won't ever win another comp.

    Good question.

Our ball control has been awful for two years. Probably three, I can't recall if it was such an issue in 2013. If it was we had the defence to cover for it, unlike the past two years where we've been very poor defensively in big games.

The good teams know how to beat us. Basically let us beat ourselves. Credit to Brisbane though, every pass stuck and they looked like the Harlem Globetrotters for a while.

Look at Brisbane's 3rd try. Brilliant intricate short passing. No way would we be capable of scoring a try like that as someone would drop it at some point.

Building our game before putting teams to the sword seemed to be the focus of our 2015 style. However we look complacent, over confident and even flat or lazy in the building aspect knowing that we can score points quickly and mow teams down once/if we click into gear.

Perhaps we need to focus on starting the game a little more up tempo. More urgency and energy from the start.

Set the pace and apply the pressure from the get go.

I watched the All Blacks first game last weekend v Argentina and they were hit so hard in attack. One thing I noticed was their ball handling at speed and at any height was so good. I wondered if they would ever drop any balls... Which they did like twice in the game after the 6oth min when SBW came on.

We can blame Aiden for getting in Jennings way at times but when he did get it he dropped it or did F.ALL with that. First time I've seen Jennings live in months and they say TV puts a few pounds on you... Well I would have thought that who I was watching on that left side was a Biggest loser contestant.

Jack Gibson turned a bunch of losers into premiership contenders just with good ball handling skills. Trent had the best roster in the comp and turned them into big losers because of very bad ball handling skills. Go figure. We need to get our priorities right - the basics always come first then maybe the flashy stuff.
