The @sydneyroosters are already planning for next year - they've signed Andrew Johns to coach their halves Hastings & Pearce #9News6pm

    Good move.
I hope he is aligned to our club only.

It was reported that Barrett didn't want the 8th immortals help next season.

Its so unusual for a guy that hates the club so much chooses to do so ala Ricky stuart

I hope he only coaches our players.
He was coaching several clubs until Manly signed him exclusively about 4 or 5 years ago but they punted him this week.
Heard that he had a falling out with some players as he was more interested in dragging them out for a drink after training.
He coached Foran and DCE into decent players and not sure but he may of coached Trent before going to the Dogs
He must have something going for him coaching three rep players.

Like this move a lot, can teach young Jackson a lot.

Really think over the off-season Mitchell should develop on changing his game more to a ball running half, preferably so he can play 6 next year.

Think Hastings can step up and be a great 7 for us next year.

The Myth has been playing first grade at this club for 9 years, yet still needs coaching lol. That speaks volumes

For Hastings that's understandable, he's young and learning.

              A. John needs to pay for his pills (allegedly) so he will accept anything.

Best player i have seen, and won many matches on his own. Could be a great move.

                  Best player of all-time.

Can't hurt to have him coaching our halves.

Our halves were taught a lesson by Brisbane's last night, this is nothing but good move by the club - hopefully he can teach Pearce how to earn a repeat set

                      Who cares.

Three minor premierships and one GF appearance to show for it. What a joke.

Greatest players seldom make good coaches. I struggle to think of any in any sport. Johns influence had little effect this year... Or maybe it did.

If it does work, it might help Jacko but Pearce... Well you can't teach an old horse new tricks.

He's going to do a game wide training program of how to properly abuse ******* and ******* while ******** with ********* and ******** also. But that's just my opinion.

Could be a good replacement for JT? Not saying JT was our halves coach, but he was a great trainer because he knows how to kick...etc.

Wonder how much work he'll do with us? Be good to have him as a full-time assistant coach. Will he do much if he's in more of a consultant kind of role?
