  • We've been spoilt.

In recent years in respect to goalkicking.
Maloney is one of the best to play for our club. And to have him so soon after Fitzgibbon is something we shouldn't take for granted.

But next year the mantle will go to SOH.
I saw him kick a pressure goal from out wide in the junior test match.
With regular practice he'll probably go all right, and we'll be no worse off than any other club with the exception of Cronulla or maybe Canberra.

    Fullback is the problem.
Not convinced Blake is the answer, and hate the idea of SKD returning to centre.
Still think Burgess is a strange signing.

If we had to release one high profile player to free money, I'd go for Guerra.
A pack with JWH, Napa,Moa and Evans providing the agro, backed up by the likes of Aubbo and SST, led by Friend is good enough.
And you always need room for new blood.

Mini's been training the house down. Bring him back for 1 more season whilst Latrell Mitchell grows into his body. We certainly could do worse!

Spend the money on another big aggressive experienced slab of meat that's hungry to win a premiership.

Guerra is one player from our team that could easily be lifted out of our team and forgotten quickly. It Would also improve the ball regularly getting to our outside backs.

I hope SST makes the Kiwi team.

        He deserves it!

Its so strange why cordner was moved to the middle of the park and guerra took his spot. Cordner on the right edge last week was outstanding and played the house down. He's not a lock forward.

As for goal kicking, anyone who can kick at over 80% consistently is outstanding to have in a team. I just hope that SOH can do the same. He sure has big boots to fill next season.
          Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Guerra is one of the reasons we have a great team so getting rid of him would be stupid.

If I had to pick one forward to lose, it wouldn't be JWH, Moa, Napa, Evans, Cordner, Friend, Aubbo or SST.
Out of Liu or Guerra, I was thinking what they probably cost.

But heck, I wish we didn't lose Maloney or RTS either, and I hate the salary cap more than you'd know.

We have to be realistic. With the exception of the halfback, I wouldn't have swapped any player with their bronco opposite, yet the bastards humiliated us.
              Can't let the team stagnate.

But this is all hypothetical of course.
It hasn't come down to "off with Guerra's head"........................yet

I'd be amazed if they overlook him.

Shit, might happen. Seems to be a motif around here at the moment.

Getting the ones you need under pressure was Maloney's forte, like the Gibbon!
We can't be too disappointed if SOH ain't quite as good as those two.

So many times last night I yelled for guerra to let the ball go to Jennings , but he constantly died with it. He played hard but hogged the ball when we needed it out wide.

I really hope we don't move Fergo to fullback.

It will weaken three positions - fullback, centre and wing.

I'd rather give NIkorima or Mitchell a crack at fullback.

Seriously he's been training the house down, he's certainly fit enough and yes we could do alot worse as I don't think he would cost much.

Just curious, what would be your preferred solution to the fullback crisis?
