  • Fitzgibbon signs with Hull

    http://roosters.com.au/default.aspx?...splay&id=16571

Roosters veteran Craig Fitzgibbon has announced that he has signed with Hull for the 2010 season.

The deal, one year with an additional one year option, will see Fitzgibbon finish his stellar career in the UK.

He broke the news to his team mates after the game against the Newcastle Knights.

A clearly emotional Fitzgibbon said while he was happy to have his future decided, he was sad to leave the Club he has spent the last 11 years with.

Obviously a big loss but I feel it will be right time.

I have a feeling we will go for Inu.

We need a replacement goalkicker, he is on the market.

He's a kid......far from his best, and neither is Mason.

That's how I feel Muzz. Now the Roosters lose one of the few that give a damn.

Soliola checked out last night as far as I'm concerned and shouldn't be brought back as his heart won't be in it - perhaps I'm being harsh.
It looks to me like Shrek has also checked out along with Sa.

It is time for a clean slate in so many ways. Obvious to me is that Freddy can't coach this group of players, perhaps he should go back to coaching the U20s and leave the men to another man.

What concerns me now is that this club has begun a downward spiral that will have repercussions beyond the poor results on the field. Getting the spoon this year is only the start.

When we get some men that know how to rise up and not throw the towel in Freddy might be able to coach them.

As if watching last night wasn't a big enough kick in the guts I get home to read fitzy is going......the only bloke who puts in every week, and after 250 games still does more work fo the Roosters than any other player we have.

Now I feel like i have been kicked in the nuts for good measure........

NOw all we have to do is let Mini go so that we will have a team to compete in group 6

                        Fark this decision shits me

im confused, i thought about a week ago people were saying we need to get rid of fitzy and now hes gone and no one wants him to leave? Personally i think he's a great player especially for how old he is and he does put in every single week, but i think its a good time for him to go (actually i think last year would have been a good time to go, finishing in 4th instead of 15th). Its sad to see him leave but at the same time this gives us a good opportunity to create a faster forward pack.
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths

where are we getting this faster forward pack from ?

                            Newtown.......lol

                            U20/s.......lol

If we had a gun pack full of workers I would agree it would be a great time to take a holiday to the ESL but facts are we don't have anyone

i dont know, i think everyone is very hard on kouperitsits, but our forward pack next year is; FPN, Riley Brown, Myles, Shackleton, Sa/Kouperitsists and Anasta. I dont think thats that bad. all of them apart from the props are quite quick. Hell even Myles can keep up with some of them.
