  • Hastings needs a big offseason

As we all know, our half's next year will be Mitch & Jacko. I was just thinking about how their going to combine next year to steer us around the park and IMO i think Jacko plays VERY VERY similar to pearcey. Points fingers around a lot and organizes the attack. But what we really need is a half that will take the line on and be attacking - which i thought jimmy did well for us during his 3 years here. We have a few options if the combo doesnt pull off ; Nikorima, Matterson and if good enough next year young connor watson. Jacko needs to add abit of size and work on his goal kicking for us. But naturally hastings is a talented kid and i think he will be great for us and become a dominant player for us for many years to come

A lot will depend on what knowledge and inspiration that germ JoEy Johns imparts on all our halves combinations. Connor in particular has a bright future if his defence improves. Very Luke Keary like with the ball.

I hate Souffs as much as the next man (probably a lot more) - but I actually miss having Burgess in the NRL.

Back to the topic at hand, I am concerned that we have very little in the spine to threaten the line with Roger and Jimmy gone.

I think Latrell is a sleeper who will suprise a few nex year albeit whilst making a few errors along the way Maloney to me seems at this point in time seems irreplacable

I think Pearce needs a bigger off season than Hastings.
He won't have an attacking player like Carney and Maloney by his side anymore to make him look good.
He will need to step up and lead Jacko!

I think Pearce should play five-eigth and have more of a running game. I think it would really suit him.

I think it's a big off season for Evans. Looking forward to him filling out more and learning his role in the team. He's a special talent. Once he cuts the errors out he will be a wrecking ball.

Good luck with that. Goober will die with the 7 on his back.

Except Pearce outside of Jeff Robson has the worst running game of any half in the NRL.

He won't be missed for long. From what I hear he is back with Souffs next year.

We are going to rue letting Jimmy go. Good old fashioned footballer.

I wonder if Robbo's hands were tied.

Don't you know that everybody kills it in the off-season. Even Parramatta and the Tigers!
