In all honesty were do we come next year? After 26 rounds? I think with our 5/8 and Fullback positions undecided we will be lucky to get 7th or 8th. JWH to come back from his acl will also take some time. Lack of depth in our forwards also seems evident.

4th or 5th for mine, i expect cows and broncs to be pushing for top 2, with warriors, sharks, storm, roosters playing for the remaining top 4 spots, dogs, manly and souths are always around for the 8, with raiders and penrith as my suprise packets.

heres an idea for the cmoney hungry nrl? the minor premiers who dont make the grand final could challenge trhge winning team to a match for the title of champions of the nrl, the winner oif course goes on to play the champions of the uk superleague! it would have to be a night time game with the heat building up this time of year, but i think wed be quite happy to take on t6he cows in sydney?thopughts anyone?

Based on player movements Broncos and Cowboys almost no new players oand no player losses and given our 2 losses RTS and Jimmy, I would think third is a good choice with the Sharks and Warriors the big improvers. Injuries can cruel any guess...poor old Penrith had half their roster injured for a lot of the season !

My guess which is all it is would be anywhere from 6th to 12th Hopefully I am wrong
PS Warriors are my tip next year iF Johnson Sheck and Luke stay injury and suspension free none of those 3 missing at SOO time They have some good young talent coming through along with some other senior players I see them having a big year and taking it out if the football gods smile on them next seasonLast edited by Andrew Walker; 10-06-2015, 01:34 PM.When you trust your television

I think we are a chance at missing the 8 depending on how much chopping and changing we have to do to fill the fullback role. I also think that between now and the start of the season there will be another half dozen rule and interpretation changes that will further hamper our side which will hurt our chances again. Hasting and Pearce's ability to combine is also going to play a major role.
Of course if the fullback situation is miraculously solved inside of a few rounds and all things go perfectly for us we could be contenders again, but I just don't see that happening. Our premiership window closed at the end of this season and I don't see if opening up again for a few years.
The NRL is also I think going to really take to the idea of another team winning their maiden premiership after all the field good media about the Cowboys, so expect the Sharks and Warriors to be right up there.

I think 3rd-6th building for a bigger 2017. However, I thought 2013 was a rebuilding year (my tip that year was we would finish 5th in the MP then bowing out in the PF) with a title tilt in 2014 so here's hoping. How we adapt to the loss of Sheck and Maloney will dictate how high up we finish.
Cows and Broncos will be there when the whips are cracking, largely unchanged squads and with the Broncos having a lot of younger players coming through, I think they will win the title next year. The wildcard is the reduced interchange but the Broncos are the fittest team in the comp and the Cowboys will be hard to beat at home with that change. Whether they still have the hunger will be the Cowboys greatest challenge and I think they will probably get knocked out in the PF much like us in 2013.
Sharks will be smokeys but they won't win it surely it goes against the tradition of the comp if they win it lol.
Warriors will finish further up the table with the spine they have, if they overhauled their coaching, etc, they would be almost favourites. However, I think they will be like us somewhere between 3rd-6th.
Again injuries, suspensions (but nobody gets suspended for finals now right ) and Origin will be the elephants in the room.Last edited by Parkway_Drive; 10-06-2015, 02:04 PM.Originally posted by boogie

I worry where our creativity is going to come from, if you were judging any other side and were told they were losing the Dally M Fullback of the year and had no obvious replacement and also the competitions 2nd highest point scorer you would suggest they would certainly fall down a few rungs on the ladder.
our forwards and Robbo's structure will keep us competitive but we are unlikely to be among the competitions elite teams next season.
