Contrary to the negativity of others, I thought Carney played well. A couple line breaks, ran down Sharks winger who had a big start, was heavily marked and still went close to scoring a few times, and setup a few chances.

I am looking forward to seeing him at first receiver next week.

I said that last year after our loss to the Warriors and it ended up being true. I don't have the same vibe just yet. We are desperately lacking speed out wide. If we get stuck with Perrett and BJ as our wingers we can just about pack up and go home. In all honesty Symonds showed more speed and ability on the wing today than BJ has all year.

Linnett will be a massive loss.
