Top thread Double, you've put a lot of thought into it.
Robbo is gonna be busy in the off season.
Seems to me that RTS going stuffed up recruitment. My guess is Burgess ain't on big coin seeing as he was signed prior to that. Toupo was the likely salary cap victim, but I dunno, everything changed.
Maybe the club was treading water for awhile to see how the Hayne cards fell?
On SKD, Polites has stated he wants him to remain a one club player.

SKD will be there in the 13 without any slightest risk. Take that to the bank..

No risk at all.. It is nothing but fantasy to suggest he wouldn't be there.. He was picked every week when he was going through a long period of average form, there is no chance he will be dropped when he is at or near the top of his game. None at all. When you consider his contribution to the team he is a must start.

Playing alongside his mentor SBW.....not beyond the realms of possibility either!

Imagine a forward pack in 2017 consisting of - JWH, Friend, Meehan, Cordner, SBW, Napa, Evans, Guerra, SST > BRUTAL to say the least.

Every off season people write this ridiculous shit. SKD won't be in the team? Liu won't make it either and Burgess should get a crack at fullback? WTF? That is some serious trolling right there.

              Trolling? Whoa... haha.
Like the bloke in your avatar said, they're all just doors man, and your free to walk through any one that suits you. In your case, suggest you choose the back door.

Back door? I don't want to hear about your sexual habits bud. SKD will be in the team. So will Liu. You will probably disappear into troll oblivion before the start of next season.

                  Bit hard there mate.
                  Don't think this is "trolling".
I mean , SKD has always divided opinion, if we go with a Hastings-type utility role on the bench, Liu's place would be under pressure, and I've no NFI who the hells gonna be fullback at this stage.

                  A penny for Robbo's thoughts.

                  How about,
                  1-Tupou
                  2-Burgess
                  3-Jennings
                  4-Fergo
                  5-SKD
                  6-Pearce
                  7-Hastings
                  8-JWH
                  9-Friend
                  10-Napa
                  11-Cordner
                  12-Aubusson
                  13-SST

                  14-Moa
                  15-Evans
                  16-Liu
                  17-Guerra

If Toops buggers up at fullback, give Mitchell a shot under Beetson's "if he's good enough, he's old enough" rule.
If Robbo prefers Nikorima as a utility, pick a backrower to help Wyong out.

                  Still a bloody good team.

Yep. A Ryan Cross clone when it comes to defensive reads. Elliott couldn't read a picture book!

SKD is the second best winger on this planet.

                      Semi's numero unu.

Imo skd is a strong chance to spend time at fullback. He has the fastest play the ball in our team and runs hard. I wouldn't be surprised to see tupou get a crack there either but would need to change his running style to lower his centre of gravity. You can't start your sets in your half by getting turtled.

Tupou can be very hard to tackle when he's in the mood, but it's a good point you make about how he runs.
SKD might be in the frame as well, and if his 2015 form on the wing translates to fullback..........who knows.

I guess we're hoping that whoever plays fullback has only got a short term gig anyway.
Assuming Mitchell lives up to all the hype.

It appears most here are of the opinion more of the same as we got over the last 3 seasons will be good enough in 2016. And that's fair if that's what people think.
For those that have been disappointed with our lack of variety and composure in attack, all I want to know is how do we go about changing that next season now without Maloney and RTS? In my mind we are already playing catchup if we're trying to fill those positions with SOH and whoever, and still trying to to play the same way. If that's what people suggest we should do, is that not putting a heap of pressure and expectation on SOH in the main? If that's the consensus here (sticking to the same team as near as possible), then why buy Nikorima, Matterson, Burgess? Seems we should have gone all out to buy an experienced 5/8.
