  • Steve Naughton and Braith Anasta

Both look unlikely first graders. Noughton is very tentative bringing it back and looks to pass it on at every oppurtunity. He will be targeted. Braith made the least tackles out of any forward in the game and was for some reason on the wing for large periods.
Noughton is only waiting for Perrett.
I don't think Braith Anasta can justify his place in the team and the sad thing is he is our captain

I spotted him in the 2nd half but in the 1st half I asked my son "is Braith playing?"

Really, loyalties and all aside, how does this bloke keep his spot ?

      Perrett > Wing
      BJ > Centre

Care factor right now > out the window

Not defending him, but braith was out on the fringes out of necessity. Linnett went off with a shoulder injury, Symmonds at the time was off with a possible broken hand and braith was the only viable option in the centres hence why he was out there.

I thought Naughton had an okay debut. His attempt at catching that cross field kick was pretty poor though

He also threw the intercept pass that led to a try. Indicative of his negative straight running

I thought Naughton had a solid debut.

I am not counting the intercept try as it happened in the 77th minute when the game was over anyway. In addition, the replay showed that it hit FPN's arm first but he just wasn't expecting it.

Don't forget that Naughton earlier made a desperate try saving tackle on our line.

In saying that I could not see any X-factor in Naughton. Is he quick?

Definitely waiting for Perrett to return or J Carney to hit his Youtube form. These guys have X-factor.

With Linnett injured - BJ to centre and J Carney to wing. Naughton stays til Perrett returns or plays crap.

Always supported Braith but his stats are a disgrace. Compare Braith to Gallen and you will cry.

I was down at Shark Park standing with the penners at the North End

Naughton is about 2 years away, currently looks like Skinny Byrne...and we all know how well that ended!

                    Naughton needs a whom?

                    Worked in 2002 for Skinny.

I thought he had a good game. More experience and confidence he will turn into a good player.
He shouldn't be blamed for intercept try. FPN was running past calling for it and he held out one arm to catch it!

You're off your head for even questioning Naughton...He made his debut in a struggling side.

I must be a die hard. I saw a shit Roosters side today that could beat whoever we meet next week.

I put 20 on the Raiders this week, and next week I'll put the the same on the Roosters.

                        Get on them

As much as I like Sam Perrett for his ability to give his all in every game he plays, it's a sad reflection of where we are at that people on here can't wait until he comes back

You're right...But I look forward to seeing him run from dummy half for our club. He's worth more than we new !

                              Naughton was fine...
Okay we lost, but his debut was one of the many positives out of a game where we beat the Sharks to a pulp and still lost on the score board due to an inability to finish when attacking.
