JWH can motivate, and the forwards respect him.
    He was missed.
I'm hoping SOH can step up with a bit more experience and be the organiser who makes more better choices on the last than bad.
We haven't had a proper halfback since his dad retired.

Didn't we have a Daly M winner in the 90's who played 7?

Freeman had a Carney of a season, no doubt.
I was really thinking more long term.
We saved Freeman's career, and Penrith paid for his early retirement.

Have seen a bit of the new HM coach Justin Stewart lately. Very impressed with the sessions he has run and just as impressed with him as a person.
Seems to me he communicates well, talking to him about the players he is extremely interested in giving everyone as much opportunity as he possibly can.

I think we have a great acquisition there

It's still a problem. JWH will help but it's still an issue. Hopefully with everyone a year older it won't be such a big issue.

Let's hope so KB because POS certainly does his finest recruiting the best available talent then it's over to the coaching staff to develop them.
Out of the 20's players chosen to train with the FG squad Connor Watson has been killing it which is very pleasing.

That coincided with Pearce going off injured.

I don't have a photographic running memory of the Roosters final game against the Broncos but I do remember the shocker from SKD in the opening minutes & from my years of watching the Roosters when things like that happen early on you just know it's not going to be the Roosters day.
No matter what anyone else thinks I believe the loss of JWH was the end of our chances to win the comp this year, There was just no way the Roosters could win the comp without their major enforcer.

And just on the Broncos & Wayne Bennett who I hate I was completely shocked that they made the GF I didnt even tip them to make the 8 but there is something about Wayne Bennett & the Broncos. I tip them to win the comp next year unfortunately, I believe they will be the first team to go back to back since they went back to back. They are going to be a powerhouse over the next 3 years, damn it.

                      Yep.

How good would it be to have a seven-day turnaround every week? And not to mention the value your sponsors get from being on prime Friday Night Football every week too. Then there is their dodgy third party scam. And of course Bennett, Boyd, Parker and Thaiday to name a few.

We are entering the dark ages.

I know of this Justin Stewart, from a couple of close friends of mine with their boys, when he coached at Manly, got the chop there and then went back to Newcastle ( where he comes from ) is a teacher up there and he got the chop there. He has been everywhere. Don't be fooled. To put it nicely he is a Dickhead. The player's from the other clubs he coached didn't like him at all and some I know still talk down about him. He had favourites in the team and even some of the better players he would not even play and some kids hardly played a game all season and were very stressed. They just turned up at the games, sat on the bench to watch their mates play, very poor. Can't understand with such a great club like the Roosters and Robbo, could allow shiet coaches in their ranks, we can do better than bring this has- been, no body here. I hope someone senior takes control of the kids as well, so he doesn't make all the decisions. Where are all the former NRL players who can put up their hands to coach ???

Drumstick I had heard some unfavourable things from others at Manly and not from parents. While I take it into consideration, a lot of parent and player talk at that age is crap. Its often all about their kid and what a great player they are when they aren't

But he seemed completely different in action with the Rooster recently.
Its not often people change but lets hope he has

Well lets hope he is not making all the decisions and he has some brains around him. Too many people including some players who are not kids anymore but 20 year olds now have nothing nice to say about him., thats too many complaints. Why the Roosters got him I don't know
