I actually don't mind the thought of skd there either. As I said before he runs straight and hard and has a fast play the ball. He would get us going forward every set. We would sacrifice some points in attack but we don't struggle there anyway.

I never thought of that option - I like it. I like it a lot.

Imagine a rolling grubber toward SKD in the roosters in goal. Fmd, would make Peter Garret lose hairs.
        Is that the full story,
        or is your news limited?

Skd has had issues before we all know that, but he could be dynamic at the back for us. Think about it. I remember when mini was on the wing & had bad hands, dropped the ball all the time & look how that turned out. rts was the player this time last year that we all hoped he could fill the fullback spot for us, & look how that turned out. So why not Skd. He is a better player then he ever was this Year.Runs the ball hard, breaks the line many times,is strong (GI style) Good under the high ball, And has the x factor about him. Also with Burgess here now that would solve a backline problem for us.

Will he take big bucks off the titans, or go to a competitive team for a lot less?

If Hoppa is smart he'll take the 200K Parra are offering him, thats a cool 165K more then he'll get working on a road gang for one of the councils, because no serious club will even look at him, on his form this season, he was terrible, and a blight on Laurie Daleys, selection skills, for picking him in the 3 SOO games.

Whether he's worth it or not $200k is more than a slap in the face considering he's in dispute over a contract worth $800k.
Isn't there a min payment figure that was introduced dictating how much SOO & Rep players could command to stop salary cap rorting?

There is something about our club's fullbacks and inability to deal with a rolling grubber near the in goal line area. I am sure whoever the next fullback is will carry on our tradition of being hopeless with the rolling grubber at the back.

Its funny because before he went on his mission we would have loved to sign Hoppa. After his mission and playing for Parramatta seems to have killed him. Honestly he is lucky to be playing first grade. I'm not sure if the right coach and the right club would change anything either. It seems his NRL ship sailed the day he decided not to play for two years.

Done be so one eyed.... Hoppa is a only a winger and we have plenty of those.

It's a fast moving game that develops more every year. While Elder Hopoate was off shoving the book of Mormon in people's faces, RTS, Tedesco, Duges, Hayne, Slater, Inglis, Moylan, Boyd...etc were all training farking hard.

TBH I haven't watched Hoppa at all this season but aside from him punting Toops from Origin (great for us) I haven't really heard his name.

Outside back for a rubbish team though - it's likely he gets mostly rubbish hospital passes and very little coaching/direction.

Hoppa Junior can join his deadbeat dad Hoppa Snr back at Manly. Im sure Bozo has a spare paper bag or two to spare. The old coot has never played by the rules.

I doubt we have the cap space for 2016 to sign anyone other than a fringe player. And we dont need another winger/centre and Hoppa is not a regular fullbacks backside.
Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

Any club the picks up Hopoate for $200K has picked up a bargain.

                              Agreed.

All we'd have to do is get rid of Omar and we could probably afford him.

If we got him back at Manly levels he'd be awesome. If not we'd have a SOO player at Wyong. Hardly the worst situation.

He will get back to as good as he was with a full off season. He's still young. The point I was making was that he won't be going anywhere for 200k. He'll be 500k minimum and he isn't worth it.
