  • 2015 Highlights and lowlights and verdict

Now that I have had a few weeks to reflect on our season. 3rd spot for most clubs is a pass but last year considering all the pre season talk was about righting the wrongs from the 2014 campaign, it ended up being a miserable fail and I'm sure Robbo would agree. The 2015 comp should have been ours for the taking and would have been but for JWH's injury.

Highlight of the season for mine apart from the bittersweet experience of witnessing RTS' coming of age as a fullback was beating the Warriors win in NZ. The Broncos win we showed a lot of grit and was close to our best effort of the sesson but it was a lowlight for me as we lost our forward leader and co csptain. Beating the Storm mid season was also a great win.

Lowlight of season was our PF game against the Broncos the first 15-20 minutes was like watching a horror movie.

Other lowlights being losing JWH and to a lessor extent Pearce to injury. Losing RTS to Warriors and Meehans behaviour.

Next year if we make top 4, it will be a very good result for us. This year considering the way we finished, was a failure when you take into account we had won the MP yet again.

Jwh is a beast and the obvious leader of our pack. But I won't agree that a premiership would have be a forgone conclusion had he not been injured. I think our club plays with that sort of arrogance and it really backfires when we play teams we are meant to beat well.

      Three highlights;
      Napa, Evans and SST.

All exceeded expectations this year, imo.

Highlights - 12 game winning streak, JWH's monster form, the coming of Napa, Evans, LIU, Fergo, SST, Hastings, beating the dogs twice and kicking them out, lol@soufs capitulation, the 30-0, seeing Bennett lose the GF and his post petulance, my weight loss, lol@soufs capitulation.
Lowlights - PF loss, JWH and Pearce injuries, loss of Roger and James.

An enjoyable season overall. Plenty to like and look forward too. We could do a lot worse than follow this club.

        Go Easts.

        Chook.

Agree. Particularly napa. Didn't he step up this year.

Highlight - the demolition of Manly

Lowlight - other then the Brisbane loss in the PF, I would have to say the two losses to Cronulla

              Highlight...
QF - Watching Hastings in the support role for Jenko one minute and then switching on the next to create the try for SKD out wide.

              Lowlight...
PF - Seeing the team systematically dismantled and how little we have learned as a team over the past 3 seasons.

Highlights - Jared, Roger, Boyd and SST.

Lowlights - losing Roger, losing to Storm

Verdict - not contesting a GF after being minor premiers Is extremely disappointing.

Highlight - Demolishing Souffs round 26 and watching their supporters leave at half time.

                  Lowlight - Prelim deja vu.

The highlight for me was the win in NZ over The Warriors, A great fightback and a brilliant finish to the game made even sweeter by everyone in the pub besides 3 Roosters supporters death riding us all game. The noise the 3 of us made when Ferguson scored in the corner and again when the try was being replayed for the vidiots when we knew for absolute certain it was a try sounded like 300 of us not 3 we went right off I have the picture of Ferguson putting the ball down for the winning try as my computer screen saver

Lowlight: seeing roger posing in a warriors shirt in front of warriors fans on the roosters twitter feed of the nrl app. IT'S STILL ****ING OCTOBER!

Beating the Lols twice and Dogs 3 times were good.

But the other highlight I forgot to add plus the development of our young forward cubs was provided by Kano. His hit on Fatsiano was the big individual highlight for me.

The highlight for me was the character that the team showed in a number of matches to come back from behind and seal a win and I thought that the best win of the season came in round 1 considering that most people including our fans gave us no chance of winning or even starting the season well as well as being against a lopsided penalty count in the heat and to hold the Cowboys to 0 for the vast majority of the match.

The lowlight for me was injuries to key players that I believe cost our team a chance at a premiership.

My verdict is that it was a very successful and entertaining season.

That's a NZ Kiwis jersey, not a Warriors one.

                              He did.
Even though JWH in the form he was in was impossible to replace, Napalm lifted his game up a notch, and provided us with the fear factor.
                              James Graham is his bitch.
Napa is never gonna have as good a running game as JWH, but he's starting to remind me of Morley
