He has go to sort that out and he deserves to be dropped.
Will he be a rooster if he returns??

Nice one scapey.
Someone that's referred to as a "freak" by his peers.
The guy should be knighted for lasting as long as he did at the Eels.
One can only imagine just how good he could be (from rounds 1 to 26) under Robbo.Perhaps even longer if we can clone JWH.

Hayne is a machine but it would take the discretionary fund to get him and I doubt it will be used. It's all arbitrary discussion though as he won't be back for at least two seasons if ever.
Of those players JWH is the only one that would cause me pause, thankfully though we have equally high paid backline players that could be moved on instead (Jennings, Ferguson, Pearce would be my picks to free up Hayne level money).

What a poor investment that would be.
How quickly you forget how utter shite Parramatta have been over the last several years with Hayne as the go to man. You need a well balanced team to win a premiership mate - Hayne would cause serious imbalance. I'm just glad that you have nothing whatsoever to do with recruitment and retention!

Remove Jennings, Ferguson, and Pearce from our side and you still have a backline of Hayne, Toops, SKD, maubs, and Mitchell/Burgess. Halves would be a work in progress as they will be next year regardless.
When the eels had a half decent (or at least overperforming) pack in 2009, Hayne made one of the worst backlines and halves pairings in the game look like utter superstars.
Hayne playing behind our forward pack would be unstoppable

It would be awesome to have Hayne in out team but it is simply ridiculous to suggest we are about to become a one-man team. It worked for the Cowboys eventually but in reality they are far from being a one-man team. Hayne won't be back until 2017 at the earliest anyway. I still say he is going to succeed in the NFL.

I don't see him coming back either. Even if the 49ers wind up getting rid of him I think another club will take a punt, one that doesn't have 5 RBs on the books and a terrible O line.
Mind you, I don't see that getting rid of 3 of our starting 13 to make way for Hayne would turn us into a 1 man team. We have never really had a player close to being leading try scorer over the past 3 seasons, as an example, so even cutting 3 good players would still leave plenty of strike power elsewhere. Cutting Ferguson, Guerra, and Toops would surely free up enough money for Hayne. Cutting Ferguson, Guerra, and SKD (assuming his case doesn't end well) definitely would. Either of those situations would still leave us with a fairly balanced side.
Again, I don't think any of this is going to happen so its just an off season time wasting exercise, but still fun to ponder.
