  • SKD article from across the ditch

Something I came across while looking for overnight footage of the league test outta London.

Apologies if this has already been covered...
Shaun Kenny-Dowall says touring England with the Kiwis has provided a release from the pressure of the assault charges hanging over him

Im worried about SKD's court case, 11 charges. You could beat 2 or 3 maybe 4 charges but not 11. I have a feeling he will be sitting out next year due to being found guilty of assault, stalking & malicious damage.

The amount of charges is irrelevant.

He just has to be not guilty.

Also he scored the only try in the NZ vs England game, I'm yet to see footage of it as this tournament has been awfully marketed in Australia.

It was live on Fox 2 Saturday night, and repeated yesterday arvo.

I'd imagine the decider will be the same.

The decider will be live on Foxsports.

They just didn't have the rights to Game 1.

Yeah nobody does ay. Court's not a game of averages - if the charges can't be proven beyond reasonable doubt he'll be acquitted.

It's good to see he's playing footy and keeping his mind off it because the 'waiting game' can crush you. I used to work in a dual purpose prison and remand centre. Even if they'd done nothing, the remandees were on edge 24/7 because nobody knows what the court's gonna decide. Whereas, those who have been convicted (and sentenced) are generally a lot more settled because they know their fate and just have to deal with it.

I hope for SKD, his ex and the club that he did nothing.

                  You can beat all charges.
It happens more than people think.
Remember a lot of the backup charges they list, in certain cases are sometimes dropped. Quite often they are very minor and almost irrelevant anyway.
It's even happened in cases that aren't depending on one persons word against anothers.
