IMO this is exactly the mindset the Roosters have had over the past few seasons and it just hasn't worked. The Roosters should be looking to benefit from some early wins for sure, but it is a matter of wrapping up games when the opportunity presents and having the will and determination to do so, whether that be in the first 10 min, the last 10 before half time or the opening 10 in the second half. Over the course of a season learning to put yourself in front and win by consolidating on your earlier efforts saves injuries, bodies and boosts confidence. Controlling games this way allows you to ramp up come finals time and allows you to keep a little up your sleeve.

I'm tired of seeing us work hard to lead early only to squander that lead and then require a second and sometimes third effort to win by just a few.

I just hope we get a fair go from the game managers next year.

Unfortunately it's more probable that our season gets buried under an avalanche of penalties, and half the forward pack spends time on the sideline suspended.

Three months out from kick off and already bitching about how the refs will screw us. Ffs. Get over it.

Remember how the NRL changed "tradition" once the Vermin won their Charity Shield and we had to play the Cowboys in the heat?

Yet when we won our Premiership, we faced the Vermin in Round 1. Now we are back to basic programming....

One thing we know as KL said above, it will all be about the Burgearses and their mother and The Phone Chucker reunion. It will be an even larger version than when all 4 of them played together....OMG

I doubt JWH will be fully recovered and able to play Rd 1. Does anyone know his recovery timeframe and progress?

The game managers have been screwing us over for years.
And I'll write it if I want.

did the club ever confirm it was actually an ACL, we only know he had knee surgery, there was no timeframe given by the club for his return.

if it is an ACL everything would have to go perfect in his rehab to be back for round 1.
