He just makes too many mistakes at this point and his defence isn't quite there yet.

Couple years in NSW Cup or on the wing and he'll have grown a bit, put on some muscle and fine tuned his game more.

Not at all. I would imagine he would be clear and focused. He had something he wanted/needed to do and it would be over.

I'm wondering if Hayne has perhaps had his SBW moment. What I am referring to his Sonny's fight with Botha. Sure Sonny got the result but he was testing himself in that fight and I'm pretty sure he realized he was never going to be a world champion. Has Hayne had a similar moment recently? I still think he would be mad to have gone this far and not follow through for a second year. However, if he has accepted a reality in which he feels he is not going to be good enough then maybe there is a point to all of this talk.

Again I'm sure no one needs to be reminded that the article this morning was written by none other than Phil Rothfield.

Hayne is God on a footy field. He single handedly beat the mighty QLDers. SINGLE HANDEDLY. Look at the plods effort without him this year.

So if we can somehow sign him then we'd be clear cut Premiership favourites for the next two years as opposed to top 4 contenders.

          Agree mate!

I cannot get my head around him coming to our club yet but if he did, he has one thing left to achieve in the NRL and that is a Premiership. Apart from 2009 he has never been in a team with a shot and in fairness to that Eels 2009 team, it wouldn't be in the same ballpark on paper as the team we have assembled for next year. He will be in a really competitive side and no one in the comp comes close to him when motivated and at his best.

With the platform our forwards and the steady direction and stewardship of Pearce, RTS in comparison, will just look like the very naughty boy Brian from the Monty Python Opus "The Life of.......''

I think you'll find SKD and Moa to Warriors if Hayne Arrives... Worst scenario will be Moa to Warriors and Jenko to Panthers! I personally would rather keep them and sign Hiku!

I would let Toops go before SKD!
But all will be revealed before the 2016 kickoff - can't wait!!!

What makes him different from Hayne, Tedesco, Stewart, Mini, RTS, who have all been mentioned in this thread?
Simply because he is not ready. IMO he doesn't possess the physical strength that a modern day fullback requires. I cannot speak for his mental toughness but this is a position with no down times during 80min. Add to that he is yet to endure a full NRL season from an injury/recovery aspect and the answer is pretty clear. You might think back to RTS struggling with the workload early on even with his FG experience and a very high level of fitness.

Why do some on here keep saying Tedesco to the Roosters? There is absolutely nothing to state that he is even considering it. And then there is a little matter of his contract to the Tigers. They will not let him go anywhere. You can wish all you want.

I see Fox News have scrolling along the bottom that Hayne to Roosters or Panthers should he return. Where there is smoke there is fire.
If Hayne receives any indication from NFL ppl that he has a chance, then I don't think he will return. He has too much drive and pride. But if it looks like there is no chance then I can't see Penrith beating us.

And in regards to Kaepernick, being a great running QB s not enough. He has a very poor and inaccurate passing game. Coaches do not want their 90mill $$ QBs running the ball ( like Kaepernick wants to ) due to injury.

Don't know how I feel about that. He looked deadset terrible to me at 5/8 for parra. He's one of the best ball runers in the game so I don't know why anyone would take away the space afforded at fb

Ricky Stuart said he was a 5/8 , but you're right the experiment failed.

But we can't have a "ball runner" as fullback you know.
                        The stats are damning.

WTF? Where do you pull this garbage from?

It's just your wishful thinking. Far from factual.

                              Toups

                              SKD
                              Hastings
                              Pearce

would mean we have a current English International winger playing at Wyong and two stars from the U20 State of Origin game this year Mitchell/Nikorima either in NYC or also at Wyong.

We will never have a backline like that.

In the very very unlikely instance of Hayne signing with us, Jenko, SKD and probably Toops would be goneski.

It's not garbage and I didn't pull it from anywhere. Let's just say that that Hayne likes everything about our club, eh wants to be competing for the title of he was to come back to league rather than being in the bottom of the table all the time and he's excited by the prospect of playing with a truly great player. Plus the powers that be at our club want him
