On top of that:
he is the 2nd forward behind Nate myles to make most meters for this season (975, 5th over all in the roosters side, next best forward is FPN with 892)
127 hitups for the season, 2nd behind myles in the forwards, 5th overall at the roosters
3rd highest tackles made at the roosters behind Jake (582 tkls) and Myles (380 tkls)
over the season so far he has only made 6 errors in 13 games so far.
I think some are marking JWH with a brush that is undeserved, or do we expect too much too soon????

The way I see it is there's 3 groups of players and by 2013 it'll look something like this
Group 1
A senior (but not so senior group) of SKD, Pearce, Aubusson, FPN & Perrett who were all part of the 'next generation'. All expect for Pez played their juniors at the same time and are similar ages. With Myles going now, Ryles likely retired & Mini most likely moved on they'll be the senior players at some very young ages.
Group 2
Players just starting to put in some consistent seasons (Friend, JWH, Kennedy, Masoe, Cherrington, Symonds, Linnett & Leilua) will have found out who's a first grader and who's not by 2013. Realistically this list will be cut in half.
Group 3
Up and comers (Cordner, Tasi, Moga, Wells, Atkinson, Evans, Dumbrell & Blair) who by 2013 will probably have some games under their belts but looking at 2013 to be their break out season.
Then you've got your fringe players Justin Carney, Guerra, Naughton, Arona etc etc. Realistically only a handful of these players will prove themselves the rest will have moved on by 2013 for an opportunity elsewhere.
Then you've got Todd Carney and probaly one other big signing but no more than that.
It's a very young roster going ahead and a very talented one at that... The salary of the big profile players we lose (Myles/Ryles/Mini/Anasta) needs to be re-invested into this squad and 1 big recruit (an outside back).
We should take heart in what Hasler did and continues to do with Manly. We shouldn't have to accept mediocre results when we're clearly better than that but we should also acknowledge it's a young squad and a slow progression up the ladder year to year is realistic and sustainable. Mass sackings and marquee purchases are not sustainable despite however good the short term fix might look on paper.

Just coz they are still contracted, doesn't mean we can't sign them.
2013 is a LONG way off in footy terms and we have a LOT of players going out the door. I think the general guise of the Roosters will change significantly - a lot of that depends on injuries too.
Who will we chase for certain? I'd say:
- Carney
- Pearce
- SKD
- Friend
Are the only ones we'll do anything to hang onto. The following will be gone due to retirement, form or injuries:
- Graham
- Mini
- Anasta
The following will be up to the age where the "oh but he is young" excuse will have dried up:
- JWH
- Tasi
- Cherro
- Cordner
- Mataka
... 1 or 2 of them will come good and the rest will be dumped.

I'm surprised that noone has mentioned Ethan Lowe. His statistics are phenomenal for NYC. High workrate junior who's come through the ranks from SG Ball. Would bleed RWB. I see him playing lock/second row in years to come.Exonerate the West Memphis Three - www.wm3.org

I can only see the same shit as now as been happening the last 30 years + knocking on the door occasionally and looking like goons...only because we have the cash to be run well and seem to struggle -want an example >Melbourne , Manly , Brisbane and a few others can make the grade. You cant win every thing but you can sure as hell look good trying. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

We are prime relocation material when the IC comes into being.

I see Tasi as a prop, JWH a backrower. Kennedy/Tasi starting props in the future.
Fact: Manly were more pissed off about losing Tasi than JWH! Desi was not happy!
