I would expect that in any competition you would expect there to be a level playing field. It should be fair. The draw for this competition is not. It doesn't only affect the Roosters. There are many unfair aspects about the draw which also affect other teams. Yes, it's hard to win a comp but it shouldn't be made harder by a draw which obviously helps some teams and obviously disadvantages others.

Well said Bally. To the people in this thread who have stated there's nothing wrong with the draw, you are effectively saying you don't mind the Roosters being handicapped.

I just think Souths should be kicked out of the comp again.

So who will have the easiest and toughest draws in 2016? After running some numbers, here's how the 2016 draws rank, from hardest to easiest.

          1. Dragons
          2. Cowboys
          3. Bulldogs
          4. Roosters
          5. Broncos
          6. Eels
          7. Rabbitohs
          8. Warriors
          9. Knights
          10. Sharks
          11. Panthers
          12. Sea Eagles
          13. Storm
          14. Wests Tigers
          15. Titans

          Thats from the fox website.

On a side note, with us having the most 5 day turnarounds, does that work the other way where we have the most amount of longer breaks between games too?

Canberra's season must have been so brutal it didn't even rate.

No. I just don't kick stones and have tantrums over things I can't control. Roosters souths and cows have the toughest draw? Who gives a shit. They have the three best roster as per last year's results. I couldn't care if tigers, titans and knights or whatever other Muppets get an extra day or two rest. A 5 day turn around isn't the be all and end all. It's up to our coaching staff to plan and prepare for it. And not blindly train 100% all year until we're fatigued and broken in September.

Im not having a go at anyone on here in particular but the whinging & dribble from some about the draw is bordering on paranoia & just out & out un-sportsmanship.

If I actually believed that the comp was rigged or that the NRL told the refs to make sure certain teams win or any other conspiracy I wouldn't follow the League, so for me anyone on here who believes the Roosters are being bent over every year need to see a psychiatrist. The game is not rigged, it's effing hard to win a comp even when you have the best team. It's not the NRL who injure JWH & Pearce in Rd 24, the NRL never made the Roosters lose against Melbourne or Brisbane. Enjoy the game for what it is, nothing is perfect, & thank God for that.
Well said Mickey. The draw each year will never be perfect - and nearly every team, and their supporters, has a reason to whinge about it. Even the Broncs fans whinge, because they want Sunday games they rarely get.

At least the Chooks don't have the regular travel, like the out of town teams do. They probably have more reason to whinge than most.

From memory, our draw in 2013 wasn't crash hot either - but it didn't stop us from winning the comp.

Just go to the games if you can and enjoy watching our beloved Chooks. And if you can't go to the games, enjoy them on TV - easier if it doesn't include those fools Rabs and Gould I know. I just hope that Foxtel do their own commentary for ALL games, so I never have to suffer those Channel 9 gibberers again.

Getting frustrated and annoyed by morons who ruin your favourite sport , and venting this anonymously , shouldn't be called whinging.

Well the Club's not happy with it and the RLPA and players are up in arms about it, so it's not unreasonable for fans to be upset as well. I can accept that we and the other better teams get a tougher draw in regards to who we play. That's the way it's been for a while now. But for us to have numerous 5 day turnarounds with other clubs having none or the standard 7 day turnaround for the Broncos is inequitable in the extreme. I hope our training staff can work miracles but it seems to me we could be fatigued and broken well before September.

Amen to this. If I can go through the season not having to listen to those 2 my better enjoyment of rugby league might resurface. IMO it's been unbearable listening to Gould in the last few years.

It will never be a fair draw while this handicap system exists.

Unfortunately, the the games that fox simulcast, it will be the 9 commentary team, so no escape from the idiots.

I heard that a few of the games will be simulcast on Fox with the nine commentary and adverts.
