Why is everyone talking about this Ferres guy like he's all signed up? I wouldn't believe anything the Mole or whoever claims to be in the know said. And what we need is depth at fullback and the halves not forwards.

My problem with Guerra wasn't the Hodgo thing, I found that commendable.
It's that he was very poor this year. Though we said the same thing about Cordner this time last year and he was close to our best this year. Our backrowers can't seem to string two good years together. Cordner in 2014 regressed from 2013, as did Sonny. Guerra this year wasn't a patch on last year. Hopefully SST doesn't suffer the same fate, maybe it's because they're marked more rather then a lack of commitment.
I think just to switch it up we should put SST on the right side, as he is damaging on the edge, the Warriors game showed this. We can then move Guerra back to the middle where he flourished in 2014.

Do you recall Trent Robinson saying words to the effect of "we (the Roosters) don't play for penalties?" Do you think Guerra's stated motivation for his actions were supportive of the coach's creed? It had no bearing you say. Not then it didn't given the Roosters lost, but what about damage to credibility?"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

I am not that worried about Guerra saying he was trying to get a penalty. Everyone does it. And we should not be ashamed of it.
What we don't do is feign injury to get a penalty.
On Guerra, I was against signing him when they last did. He's expensive, a massive hog and one starting backrower too many.

If the team has no injuries to start the season it will be interesting to see if they go with Ferres on the bench or Maubs. Im thinking JWH & Napa start with SST at 13 & get replaced with Moa Liu & Evans. If they want to give Friend a spell then Maubs you would think would get the final spot but if Friend plays 80 they may try Ferres as a edge interchange. I just think Ferres will be used as he is a current English International who only recently was in the winning England team that beat NZ who where the world champs.

I think Maubs will get the gig,
But all accounts on here seem to be that JWH will miss a couple of months.

I guess it doesn't speak volumes for his character , but it makes you wonder if his best man was on the club board or something?
I mean, punched out and no news used to be the norm....
Either way .
