Myles in itself is not a gargantuan loss.
Guys... he tackles, and he runs hard. There are other players who do this. Just take a look at last round. Nigel Plum - 16 hit ups, 124 metres, 31 tackles. Sam McKendry - 13 hit ups, 128 metres, 25 tackles. Shaun Fensom - 15 hit ups, 135 metres, 44 tackles. Guys like these wouldn't be asking for too much more than 200K, and there are more examples.
What is so disappointing about this loss is not that Myles is a great player, but that we have released him and kept dead wood. That Anasta will be given another year to earn hundreds of thousands doing nothing is a disgrace. Same with Minichiello, if he is kept. For the past few years, our chief metre eaters come from our backs. This is laughable. Any successful team, ever, will have a forward pack who works hard and creates space for backs to score tries, not a forward pack who turn up once in three weeks and are more concerned about putting a shot on than winning a footy game.
The clubs head is on backwards at the moment. Panic time is now, make no mistake about it.
