Thankfully, my mate lives just up in Paddington so we're walking down...if it isn't raining.
    Sunday pissing down.

Put Jake Friend down for 60 plus tackles this game. None of the forwards in this team know how too!! Then all the supporters wonder why he can't attack. When Riddell comes on make him run the ball like a back rower. Make him do some work.

Exactly. Captain Dogshit would at least get some respect if he just tackled his heart out for 80 minutes but we all know he doesn't like to get his hands dirty. Jake can't do it all. Not to mention he is a midget. It has to take a lot out of him doing all of that work while his teammates prance around like they are at Club Med.

I like you Mad Rooster In Hong Kong. It must be living in Asia!! I'm in Japan. If Ansata just did something this game rather than hide out on the wing like last game he might get a little respect back. Captain of the year to Captain Worst. Wow seems it is a disease at the Roosters this year.

            Hilarious and super-funny!

Hopefully there's no betting funny-business going on.

Jake shouldn't be doing all the tackling, and this game should go 'on strike'!...and the other forwards be made to do most of the tackling.

              Can't or won't tackle?
Jack Gibson would've waved 'you' goodbye.

Thanks Champ. You are in a very elite club liking me on this forum. Where are you in Japan? My wife is Japanese so I get to Japan usually a couple of times a year. We went snowboarding in Nagano at Xmas. What a great place!

Fark we must be going bad if Mr. Optimist (aka Bondi-boy) is bagging these lazy sacks of shit.

We are in Nagoya. We go up to Nagano to ski. Jake is my nephew. I get a little defensive on this site.

I really hope Arona can show something with Myles leaving someone needs to step up. He's a worker so here's hoping, he does suit the build and role of a modern day lock all he needs to show now is that he has the ability and temperament.

Who is this Willie Mataka who is debuting this weekend?

                          From the Tigers I believe...

I think played centres in one of our trials and was one of our best players? Has been killing it in Newtown too I think... This is only off what others have seen. Another one of those 2nd rower/centres.

Btw Sau is out which increases our chances a bit.

Arona used to rack up HUGE numbers in the NYC back in 2009, both in yardage and tackles. By all accounts he was very impressive in 2010 for the Jets too.

If anyone out of our current players is ready to step into that lock role, it is him. The only other 'long term' option floating around the NRL at the moment who looks like filling a similar role is that Fensom kid at Raiders.

                                Shaun Fensom - born 1988

                                7 runs, 39 metres, 0 offloads, 0 tackle breaks, 29 tackles
                                12 runs, 69 metres, 1 offloads, 1 tackle breaks, 55 tackles
                                10 runs, 61 metres, 3 offloads, 0 tackle breaks, 39 tackles
                                5 runs, 58 metres, 0 offloads, 2 tackle breaks, 25 tackles + 1 linebreak
                                10 runs, 76 metres, 0 offloads, 0 tackle breaks, 52 tackles
                                11 runs, 54 metres, 1 offloads, 1 tackle breaks, 37 tackles
                                10 runs, 64 metres, 0 offloads, 0 tackle breaks, 29 tackles
                                6 runs, 48 metres, 1 offloads, 0 tackle breaks, 30 tackles
                                9 runs, 62 metres, 1 offloads, 1 tackle breaks, 38 tackles
                                15 runs, 135 metres, 3 offloads, 6 tackle breaks, 44 tackles + 1 linebreak
                                16 runs, 97 metres, 3 offloads, 2 tackle breaks, 75 tackles

Middling to average yards, but plenty of offloads, and some MASSIVE defensive efforts (75 tackles last night). Looks a little bit stronger physically than someone like Hilder, Stagg, Harrison or Johnson - looks more in the Gallen/Waterhouse/Myles/Parker style of workhorse lock with a bit of size and strength about them when running the ball. With our widerunning backrowers consisting of Symonds and Aubusson who are good in defense but don't offer any real size in attack, we need a lock with not only size and strength to function almost as a third prop in tight, but also to rack up a lot of tackles. Myles fit this role perfectly - Smith seems to be trying to force Nuuausala into this role, but it will end up like a Stuart/Tupou thing that will end up destroying Nuuausala's natural linebreaking, offloading game.
