  • Footage: Minichiello and Burgess

    Mini

    Burgess

I can think of a few of our players that wouldn't mind hands as good as Burgess feet.

@0.31sec: I make it 6sec to cover 50m from a near standing start...( you can just see the top of Burgess head between two Wigan players in bottom right corner).

He's very impressive. Big, fast, elusive, skillful. Could be a very nice acquisition.

So he plays on Toop's side of the field? I wonder what the plan is?

I think I saw him cover both flanks in the video. It's a lot of just finishing off plays mainly and they're only highlights of course but he has good balance, can catch, pass, step, time his runs, leap, support and he's quick. He's confident enough to put the ball on the foot and he enjoys crossing try lines. I know what I'd like the plan to be.

I still say he is a reserve grader. Should do well for Wyong.

Well according to many on here, he has left a good start to his career in England, for a starting spot with wyong, as elliot and mitchell have dibs on first grade before him. So we will have to wait and see. Should be good to see him in the 9s tournament though.

I guess it's up to him to prove himself.

                  Nice footage.

He has great awareness of his support runners.

Perhaps he can give Guerra a few pointers.

                    Maybe this;

                      He looks good.

Play him on the wing and but let SKD do the kick returns if they're his weakness.

He has genuine 100m speed which we lack, all our backs are fast but no one in the Roberts/Korobiete category, Jennings is over 40m but not the full distance.

He might play at Wyong for a bit but I'm confident he'll be in the 17 after a while.

He might play for Wyong at some point or he may not. One thing is for sure, he hasn't been signed to play for them. Hope he goes well.

That's what impressed me most, aside from his good turn of speed & swerve,

I like pretty much like everything about the kid except his name.

With the Toupo / Jennings combo on the left, I would say he will have to adjust to the right. No point having both flanks interrupted with new combos.
I think injuries will most likely factor in how Trobbo fits Toops / Burgess / Mitchell onto the flanks.
Everyone seems seems to be of the opinion that Jennings will no longer be here after next season, so Mitchell could well be biding his time a little longer unless injuries play a part ?
