Injury prone, but if he stays fit he would flourish in our team!

I wouldn't be surprised if he has already agreed to join the Broncos as a replacement for Hodges at half the price.

Silly move from Roberts. He's had his best season in the top grade and has apparently kept himself out of trouble. He scored an upgraded contract for this little fiasco.. Roberts is the type of player that a change of environment could massively backfire.

I'd say where maxed out and can't afford him without having to offload someone.

He is a beast though and will only get better at the right club.

He would be perfect for us and would help with Fergo going to FB, Roberts could take his centre position. However am not too sure of our cap position. But I dont understand how we can be close to full when we offered RTS and Maloney and didn't sign anyone.

I understand since RTS and Maloney knocked back offers we resigned Tupou and a couple of others (I think!) but still think we should have $400k lying around somewhere.

That cash has been placed aside for a Hayney Day.

That's fair enough, i can cop that if that's the case. However, as far as versatility value is concerned Hiku would be the perfect fit for our backline should form concerns/injuries/SOO intervene.
He competently covers every position from 1-6.

Not sure that I agree with you if you are saying that Hiku is more versatile than Hayne. I would think that the hayne train would make a better centre than hiku, is definately a better winger than hiku, would make a better five eight than hiku if injuries occurred and we had to use one of them for any such position. Of course there is a big difference in their salaries too so that would have to be a consideration if one was thinking of recruiting between those 2 players.

                        Roostersrule2 had this idea.

He's a free agent due to the signature on his contract being forged (Titans are a mess). He was a FB as a junior and is a freak of a player, without a doubt the fastest in the game.
I know there's been a lot of suggestions lately with Hayne and Hiku but I'd say we have a real chance here. We can play him as a stop gap fullback and then when Latrell is ready; put him at left centre when Jenko leaves.
Could see something like this happening:
                        2016. 1. Roberts, 3. Jenko
                        2017. 1. Roberts, 3. Mitchell
                        2018. 1. Mitchell, 3. Roberts

                        I like it.

Would that be Mr Hayney from Green Acres ?

There is no indication in the slightest that hayne has any desire to return to the nrl, and even less that he would be at the chooks. Roberts is a class player, and if available, we should pounce, especially not knowing what lies ahead for SKD.

Does anybody know when SKD has is day in court?
