Aubo works for us, but he doesn't have clubs knocking his door down, because he doesn't own a position. Reminds me of john morris, played 300 games, but nobody notices he isn't around anymore.

Funny you say that. All I hear from other supporters is how theyd love to have Aubbo at their club and what a wasted player he is at Roosters..

Great question OP and a tough one to answer. His utility value provides the team flexibility but at the same time I'd like to see him hold down a position in the back row. Question is, who for? There are times when I doubt Guerra's value given his terribly slow play the balls, his inability (or unwillingness) to pass to anyone (which makes him predictable), and his blocking up the back line.

I only hear the envy in opposition supporters. If Aubo didn't relish the roles he fills at our club he wouldn't be half the player he is. He comes on most times and plain embarrasses our starting backrowers. So rather than see him as wasted in this role, IMO we should be asking questions of Cordner and Guerra.

agree 100%. Great question posed. Been thinking this for past two years. His versatility counts against him. This is why the signing of the Broncos lad is critical

Aubbo may not be retained beyond 2016.We have Moa Cords Liu and Aubbo off contract in the forwards.Moa will go,Cords will b top priority and I think Liu will b a higher priority than Aubbo simply because the club won't want to lose another prop rotation on top of Moa.We have butcher coming thru for the back row as well and possibly SBW returning .Ultimately it may be whether or not sonny returns that decides if Aubbo is retained or not.The other poss is that Guerra gets cut a year early if he has another avge season.

Every good side needs a Maubs. He's versatile, reasonably priced,you know exactly what your going to get and is no trouble.

He's not flash, however technically sound,has the right temperament and footy smart/savvy

Were you not annoyed by his actions that led to fat hodgo playing in the GF? Do you not see how AG did not have a particularly good year? If what I'm doing is "bashing" AG, then so be it, that's fine with me. Perhaps my expectations of AG are unrealistic.

With regards to Guerra supporting Hodges, I would say if you had the opportunity to help a SOO team mate and good friend play in their last NRL match that happens to be a Grand Final and didn't, then you would be a real jerk in my mind...
Guerra's season was not all bad. Sure he was no SBW, but no one slotting into that position was ever going to do a SBW each week..

Anyway I've got plenty of love for Mitch Aubbo. I hope he sees out his career at Easts after playing more that 250 games in the red, white and blue....

Aubbo is going to be an asset with the new Interchange rules reduced to 8 and thats the same with AG.
