You don't have to look like Andrew Walker or Albert Kelly to be indigenous. Think JT... white guy with a mop of hair and a big European nose. People know their own families/heritage and that's all I need to know in order to accept their identity...
Edit: my dad was Italian... I have blonde hair (he's from the north), don't speak a word of Italian and grew up with mum so don't know a lot about the culture. I remember getting shyt3 about it in school 'oh why do you lie about being Italian? You're not dark/hairy and you don't have a Burwood accent'. WTF would I bother BS'ing about who/what my dad is? It got pretty boring listening to narrow-minded stereotypes about what my identity meant I had to be.
