  • X-Players - Where are they now?

I'm interested to know what some of our past players from the last 30 odd years are up to these days.

    What's Salvo doing now?

Is Hugh McGahon still a Roosters Man?

Where are David Smith, Wayne Challis, Prothero, Orford, Marshall, Beecraft, Silva, Portlock?

What are these lot and other past Roosters doing these days?

James Marshall was killed in a car accident. Is that the Marshall you mean?

Hugh McGahan works in the NZ media reporting on NRL I believe.

Sadly, Craig Salvatori's wife died in the Bali bombings in 2002. I read that he runs a guest house in Byron Bay.

I used to know Gavin Jones (ex Bear/SOO) and he was good friends with Trevor PAtterson. I think he used to sell cars for City Ford then moved to poker machines...last I heard.

Think that is James Mathews you're thinking of who was killed in a car accident in the early 90's.
Perhaps he is referring to Wayne Marshall ?

Ah right you are. My bad. James Marshall is an actor, maybe that confused me.

I was referring to the hooker Wayne Marshall. I know he was a plumber working around the Eastern Suburbs but I haven't seen him for years.

Wayne is a sparkie. Originally from Brissie he sold up in Maroubra about a dozen years ago and moved to the Sunshine Coast.

Rocket Rod Silva joined the Police Force but not sure if he's still there.

Brett Mullins part owns the Gunyah Hotel in Belmont on the central coast. I see him there every year when we go for holidays. Top fella, I'll buy him a few beers and he will talk footy all day

Yes that's right. I think Orford may have been a plumber and possibly Brett Gillard too.

Steve Deacon runs a sports management company and sadly Joe Thomas lost his life working as a sparky many years ago now.

You got your Joe's mixed up.

Joe Fenech (Mario's) brother was a lower grader with us. Sadly he was electrocuted.

Joe Thomas is in the rag trade selling business apparel.

And his brother Joseph Touma was charged with Jason Smith in a massive cocaine bust.
