    End of story!
    Indeed the baby giraffe rocks.

FACT: A few weeks ago they were doing endurance races & big Kano ran 2nd behind Fergo in 100m race. Admittedly, Jennings wasn't competing.

Were Pearce or Toops? I thought they were our fastest.

Any idea on the times? I love hearing about that sort of stuff.

Keeping Pearce in cotton wool still.

Kane picks up significantly after 50m with his giant strides.

          2 man heat?

In all seriousness though. One aspect that was quite poor last season was our support play.

I would be trailing Kano( amongst others, not including Guerra cause he won't give you his ball) every single time he/they wind up.

Game mangers - It's time to start the game Aidan, can we please have the ball.
            Guerra - No
Game managers - Mate, the game is live on FTA and we must start on time. Now please hand over the ball!
Guerra - No. I don't care. It's my ball and i'm not ready to part with it.

Ah okay, hope Pearcey's speed is not affected by the injury, he is lightning.

Kano also has an awesome offload too, and he had quite a high number of them for the amount of minutes he played.

Maloney's support play last year was impressive, I recently watched the highlights of all our games from last year and he trailing Jennings resulted in many a tries.

                Good luck Big Chook,
I know it's possible I've been critical of some of your stupid posts before,
But you have tried to restore sanity to this thread, a lot of what you say is sensible, you can admit when you're wrong...............
                and you support the Roosters.

Goodnight , and may your god go with you.

(ain't being sarcastic, and there has been many other threads that you have provided an excellent example of being patient)

Fergo 9.60 secs just missed breaking Bolts WR.

Kano's 9.93 secs dead heated Patrick Johnson's (official) and Stapos (unofficial) Australian Record....he just needs to work on his starts.

There were 2 or 3 other sub 10 second times too..... :P

Nice, good to know we've got some speed.

Heard big JWH ran 9.97, that was with his ACL torn.

Damn that's frigging scary for a guy with that kinda size to be one of our fastest!!

But - you've said endurance races... 100m isn't endurance. Guessing they did a boot load of 100m sprints with very little recovery in between for it to be 'endurance'. How'd the session go?

                        Correct.

Trainers/conditioners focussing on Fergo's transition to the fullback role. Getting him used to the extra km's.

You make a good point there RR2.

I read with interest that Kano gave the highest number of offloads in 2015. Quite surprising when you consider he's a bench player who averaged approx 25-30 minutes per game.

It's a double edged sword though. We need that x factor. But there's also a time and a place for that sort of play. A few times last year, I believe the match against the bulldogs particularly, I just wanted Kane to run straight and hard and get up quick. He is a prop and that's his job. Once he gets the balance right he'll be a weapon.

                              Good to hear that Gman.

My main concern with Fergo in the fullback role is the endurance factor required.

Oh and his defence, hands, reading of the play and talk, dicky ankles and being better suited to the centre role beating one man and setting up his winger or himself.

                              Apart from that he's fine.

Not sure what most are thinking atm? but Fergo will be #1 for The blues in 2016.. In another series win,
