  • Merry Xmas. Predictions 2016

Boys and girls all the best for the New Year.
First time Ive had a wee look for a while

    So next year.....
No real excitement or vibe from me as a massive outsider to win.
Maybe Brisbane again if they pick up that loose GC centre.

Manly will improve cause Barrett has bought well. They will buy into him at first but then....over time he wont make it. Wont go into why not, but I am quite convinced he wont be a successful coach in the longer term.
Cronulla will be thereabouts. They have had a crap kicking game for some time....Maloney will fix that.
    Easts will head down slightly.
    Melbourne up slightly.
Saints sideways or down a litlle.
Warriors are the only side with significant upside...I will probably back them at good odds at the start of the year....but dont really think they will win it.
Cowboys will make the top 4 but not much more.
    Souths up slightly.
    Canberra up slightly.

The duds will still be duds.

    Parra....the coach is overrated.
    GC love the good times.
Newcastle just havent got the players.
Tigers, too many hurdles but good young players.
    Penrith will stay injured.
    barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

The Roosters will miss Maloney big time, He is underrated by many here. RTS is a big loss but he will not be missed as much as a lot of people are suggesting. The big question is and seems to be every season is will Pearce stand up? I'm not expecting him too, in his 8 years at the club he has played consistently well in only 2 seasons, in 2010 when he had Carney next to him and in 2013 when Maloney came on the scene. It will be interesting to see how two players come on being Hastings and Latrell Mitchell. I'm expecting our team to finish 3rd to 5th.

              Merry Christmas Trew,

I predict we will finish the Minor Premiership in 4th spot. As for the finals anything can happen and probably won't for us .

                Predictions???
The sun will continue to rise every morning.
Some of us will spend another 12 months regretting what we did wrong in the previous 12.
We all need to have somebody to love, and all want to be loved.
Thousands of people we don't know will reach the age of reflection.
This time next year, we'll all be a year older, but not wiser.

As to the footy................I've got NFI

                  Good post me ol' mate.

Warriors still mid-table..something still crook about their culture.
Bunnies.. 6-8 on table. Luke a huge loss for them, Burgess to have quiet season
Cowgirls-nothing more certain than they won't go back to back
                  Broncos-think they'll be pegged back - 5-6
                  Manly-can't deny that backline - top 4
Raiders- go better - just out of top 8
Dogs- mystery - could be 1st or 14th I'm tipping miss the 8
                  Pennies - 8th
                  Melbourne - gorrrn
                  Parra - will improve 9-10
St Merge, Knights, Titans, Tigers - Rubbish
                  Sharks the smokies for GF
Us - their opponents and we take care of business. Cordner Clive Churchill Medal

Check Canberra's draw. They should be top four even with that coach (who incidentally just extended...).

Top 4 in no order: Brisbane, Manly, Cronulla, Easts
                          First coach sacked: Taylor
                          Media darlings: Sharks
                          SOO: NSW 2-1
                          Daly M: Bargeass

Top 4 finish.Don't underestimate the inclusion of Andrew johns to the coaching staff. My mate told me that he learnt more about the game when he spent a season being coached one on one by johns at the knights.Mitch also said to me he thought johns would take hastings to a new level and to watch the changes to his game under johns.

Brisbane, Cowboys, Roosters & Bulldogs will be in the top 8 no doubt about it. Melbourne, Manly & Souths should make the 8 so that leaves 1 spot for Penrith, Cronulla, Canberra, Parra & the Warriors to fight it out for but I have a feeling that the Knights are going to be the biggest improvers, if they can keep their best team on the paddock most weeks they will go close to the 8 IMO.
