The Burgess signing is the one that really still leaves me scratching my head ??

I don't understand it either, we have good talent here. Burgess has never played NRL he could quite easily sink with the sheer pace including the quick defence and the hits. Tomkins was a superstar in the super league but never quite got there here for the Warriors. Its a completely different game here, your not playing against old and has been players. You're playing against the best who have trained through the system from a young age and are used to it

I think people are getting a little ahead of themselves.

Burgess will be picked on the wing in firsts and our depth will be Elliott (a fringe first grader), Mitchell, Manu & Taylor (all young talent yet to be tested above U20s level).

I don't mean to downplay any excitement around the 3 youngsters but lets get real here for a second as it stands our depth is a fringe first grader and a bunch of kids, some people are carrying on like we're going to have superstars playing in reserve grade as a result of signing Joe Burgess.

Our 2016 lineup is definitely better for having someone who's played over 50 first grade games and has experience at International level. The youngsters and Elliot will get their chances throughout Origin and injury/suspension as they should.

My feeling is that Jenko has to go in the long run, but we're not ready to lose him for this season. We will be sorely lacking experience. Any more info JT?

Aubusson will be in the centres IMO after thinking a bit harder about him not Wyong. But I do think they will go with Nikorima off the bench, he has all the potential to be like Craig Wing was for us in the beginning coming off the bench & playing dummy half & carving them up.
