This is becoming a joke first it was wanting to sign Farah and why would we want to offload him he's a solid defender and can find the try line, yet they resign tupou who is a goose.

If Jennings goes it will be because we are making room for SBW, securing Cordner as well as probably upgrading Fergo's contract for next year.

If so, 2017 will possibly see the following:

      Fergo
      Tupou
      Copley
      SKD
      Mitchell
      Pearce
      Hastings
      JWH
      Friend
      Napa
      SBW
      Cordner
      SST

      Guerra
      Evans
      Moa
      Aubusson

We have an expensive and enviable roster folks, that is all there is to it. That forward pack in particular will lead us to greatness, no doubt about it.

For the billionth time, Hayne is not coming.

Surely the club can't be serious about this, tossing out an elite match winner like Jennings to replace him with a nuff nuff like Copleys. Lol @ Easts if this happens...i will not be attending any games or renewing my membership. If the club gives up all hope for the season then so will I.

Den What? If the club shows no interest in trying to win then why should i bother.

Unfortunately hayne will never play in the RWB. But it is a nice off season gimmick to keep the pen ticking over.

One wonders how they can afford Jennings when they are paying over $1m to Watmough and all of Hoppa's Dogs contract.

They'll lose anyway so the NRL has essentially gone 'meh do whatever you like guys, we don't care'.

Oh and they lost Hayne. He must love it in the USA! 10 games a year or something? (Seriously short season). Also, it's doubtful he'll play 80 minutes for a gridiron team (if he plays at all). The whole time his manager's phone is probably ringing non-stop with league (NRL and st00paleague), gridiron and rugby teams offering him squillions.

The one thing Hayne doesn't seem to ever do is pick the winning team?

Edit: Meh who care I guess? He's in Australia for 1/2 the year... surfing at Bondi Beach, sipping lattes, listening to Hillsong (one big reason I'm not a fan of the guy), living in a mansion paid for by one of many NRL clubs trying to snare him... and driving one of Uncle Nick's luxury cars around.

What's the bet that like all 'good' Hillsong boys he also hits up our good friend Mr Ibrahim for some private action down the cross. Surely he knows that Jesus is off raping little kids, so has absolutely no moral authority over what we can/cannot do. So long as it's between two consenting adults, there's no problems... ;P

I think the Eels are disputing the payout of hoppa. If they win the case they may have the money for Jennings but if they lose it would appear unlikely. It's amazing that they would pay hoppa whilst he was out of the game for two years only to punt him after 1 season back. It's ridiculous. I'm tipping a big year from hoppa.

He has been so bad you must have forgotten he has been back for 2 seasons now.

As someone else said I believe the salary cap is working it's magic now and we need the money for Hastings, Evans and cordner.
I would think it would be the other way round. Tomsula was the only coach of 32 who wanted Hayne and now he is gone. The new coach will decide which players to keep and which to chop in the roster. What are the odds he will want to keep a project player like Hayne? I would think pretty slim.

Obviously the Australian media is in retarded overkill mode about hayne but I think there is some positive sentiment regarding Haynes potential. A full season and off season and I can see him landing a spot on the squad for San Fran or even Detroit. But I take your point. Could go either way.

As with everything in life, it's all about timing. I hope the 49ers decide Hayne's fate sooner rather than later. If they want to cut him, then they should let him know ASAP so he can come back to the NRL.
All this waiting and speculation is killing me!!!

If whether or not Jennings goes depends on whether or not Parra get off the hook for Hoppa he is no chance. They has covered themselves in disgrace over that Hoppa thing.
