Maybe still happening, a lot goes on behind the scenes with both parties trying to come to an agreement. I would love to see him here as we have the top staff that will look after him and turn him into the top player he is, wasted at Manly

Anyone know what is happening in regards to the Lawrence signing? Was to of signed with us 2 weeks ago, and now nothing. I hope they announce it along with the Copley signing.

I hope so. Lawrence would be a fantastic signing, though it would mean one of our props will go, probably Moa although maybe not until the end of the year. With the addition of Nikorama to the bench we are overloaded and I think we will lose another forward - Guerra or Liu possibly.

How good is this possible pack for 2017?

                Cordner
                SST

                Lawrence
                Evans
                Guerra
                Liu
                Aubusson

If the halves do their job it probably doesn't matter too much if our backline isnt full of superstars. I'd be quite comfortable in fact with Fergo, Tupou, Copley, SKD and Burgess/Latrell.

That pack is intimidating, skillful and versatile and will smash through any team with ease.

And don't forget young Taylor speed freak, strong who can play anywhere in the backline and is also a very good fullback, I have watch a lot of his games and hope he gets a crack this season

I understand that Manly are going very, very hard, and are very, very hopeful of picking up Cords for '17. Word is the deal may already be done.

While I would of thought Cords would be Rooster for life, word from inside Manly seems to indicate otherwise.

It would be genuinely disappointing to lose Cordner.

yep, him and jwh should be our only priority signings, unbelievable the the players we have lost and still may lose.

It is starting to feel like 2010/11 again with players being paid a lot more than they should be paid because Carney made them look like superstars.

It would be ironic letting go of Jennings and Maloney so that we could prop up the likes of Cordner.

Bullshit. Our club isn't run by monkeys. There is no way in hell we would bring back sonny for a swan song season or two and lose cords for the next decade. That's something parra or the tigers would do. Cords won't be going anywhere. As for Jennings, still don't believe he's going and if he is it's because we couldn't ever afford him in the first place. We only had him because the panthers were paying him.

If Cordner goes to Manly then I think it would be a signal that the club does not want to overpay players who are peripheral to the result. The guys whose performance will pretty much make or break your season wear jersey's 1,6,7 and 9. If you are paying massive overs to guys outside these jumpers then unless they are once in a generation or lifetime players then you are spending in the wrong areas and can forget about winning anything. Alot of people don't get that and never will.
