Still...as others have said...we need frontrowers who will play in the front row...????
Well we know that Reddy is out with a season ending injury so I cannot work out the logic that Linnett's injury is a reason for signing Reddy.

Signing him would be an absolute no brainer.. I thought you didn't want to sign anyone

Yes well we can all change our minds can't we?

I wouldn't sign much, but I would take a long hard look at Woods, Fifita or McGuire. I'm guessing the Tigers can only offer bench player status, and I don't know that they can offer much monetary wise. In McGuire's case, he is stuck behind a tonne of quality, and would likely be on the bench. I think we could offer them something and I think they could offer us something. Young, hungry and talented. Works for me. The other player I would look at this season is Shaun Johnson from the Warriors. He's a class act but hasn't played first grade as yet. I think he would be a great utility, and would keep Pearce and Carney honest. Not to mention how cheap he would be. I know the Warriors fans love him and would be shattered if they lost him.

I am a big Shaun Johnson fan but not sure where he would fit in our team?
He is an out and out 5/8th,and would be stuck in the 20's til Carney decided to give it away,or goes off the rails again.
In terms of being a utility, not sure if we would need that type of player off the bench.
Back to the 5/8th issue,we have a player in the 20's Jack Littlejohn who is a super talent and has massive potential and is only 18 years old.
I think he is worth a look at in the future as a 6,7 or even a fullback!

Joel Reddy and Ash Graham are both absolutely crap and I wouldn't want them anywhere near our team.

Both are diabolical in defence (they make Perrett look like Nate Myles) and neither have the greatest pace either. Graham is also prone to absolute clangers.

Linnett, SKD, BJ LLeilua, Justin Carney, Cheyse Blair are also much better centre options.

And there is also no way Perrett should ever be considered as our next fullback, he is too slow, can't defend and is pretty shaky under the high ball.

I think Johnson would be a bit of a nightmare out of dummy half. His pace is excellent, he can spot a hole and he throws a great pass. I'd get him drawing a forward or two before passing to a charging Aubusson hitting the new found hole. He'd need a fair bit of work, but he's one of those guys who I think is worth a punt. He actually reminds me of Benji a little bit.

I like Littlejohn. He's very raw still though. Definitely one of the stand outs in Toyota Cup though. Always involved in something. Needs to get a grubber in his repertoire though.

I totally agree with you in regards to Johnsons similarities to Benji, that was my initiall thought when i watched Johnson for the first time.
He has the same step and change of direction as Benji has, great little player..
Id be surprised if the Warriors let him go though.

No harm in asking if he would be interested. Twenty to 30 minutes each game off the bench is better than not playing first grade.

Maybe at the Roosters he will also be playing in a crap team. Did you consider that?

Good question mate. Its amazing how often these guys with "inside information" start posting these tasty tidbits only to fade back into oblivion without any real answers forthcoming.

I'm hearing that the roosters have put an offer to Joel Reddy today. I am hoping and praying you get your man.

As far as I can see, his only positive is that he is Bryson Goodwin's brother in law. The Roosters might get both in a package deal.
