Maloney is the best we've had in the goalkicking department, just shading Gibbo and Eden.

Hard act to follow for anyone.

My preference would be start Hastings at half and move Pearce to 5/8th and see if he can get his old running game from his youth

Maloney has been brilliant, but also had some dumb moments in terms of defensive lapses and penalties conceded. Yeah, I'm spewing we've lost him, but am excited about this next crop so am pumped about this year.

Hastings will continue to surprise, I think. He is also a great goal kicker and once he's filled-out will be a very damaging running half, I think.

It's Latrell I'm most pumped about. Watching him carve up in 20's as a 17 year old, hammering guys despite having shoulders like a snake. I'm following him on Instagram and get the sense of a young, intelligent, talented and aware young man with his shit together. He paints and has an appreciation for culture.

If injuries are kind, he'll be the face of the game in 7 years.
