First RTS, then Maloney now Jenko. That is 3 world class players we have let go without much of a fight. I can understand the situation with Jennings is difficult because he wanted to settle down out west, but in saying that we have lost a big match winner. Don't get me started on SKD too, if his found guilty then we are in some deep deep shit. Apart from the magical year of 2013, our recruitment has been very odd. No major signings apart from a few old forwards and a couple of young depth signings. I still trust in robbo but I cannot understand how we have just let go of 3 world class players and cannot see where the club is going in terms of recruitment and the structure of our team

This is similar process to 2012 season when the club off-loaded a lot of players towards the end of the year for a huge recruitment drive in 2013.

There is forward planning involved.
The Club failed in 2014-15 seasons.
Its clear we're going to go through a rebuild but definitely hit the market in 2017-18

The Club failed in 2014 - 15 ???? We won both Minor Premierships and were a game away from the the big dance and you classify that a fail ? Ask every other club if our the 2014/15 result would be deemed a fail or below par. Clubs lose and gain players every year. Players values rise and fall accordingly, so I am not surprised at the pursuit and movement of players within the NRL. Cheer up

I despise attitudes like this.
F**k off and support someone else if you are going to call the club a failure after the most dominant 3 years since the Green machine era. Some Chook fans are such ungrateful whiners - take that crap somewhere else, or at best save it for the next time we perform like the Titans of 2015.
On other issues, I actually think letting Jennings go was a very smart move. If we had kept Jennings, we would have the following situation:
*a centre as our second most expensive player - not smart management. Big money should be reserved first for halves, fullback, hooker and good forwards.
*little room to move under the cap. If people want SBW back and Hayne to be in the mix then the only option is to leave money free.
*a player who has lost passion for the club/team. This is well documented.
*a player who is getting old and will be past his prime within the next 2 years IMO

At first I was angry at this decision but then I had a think about it. Copley is younger and hungrier than Jennings. When he's good, Jennings is very, very good but when he's bad, he's out brawling with his cuz. If Copley shows a good attitude and club loyalty, I'll gladly welcome him.
SUPER DRAGON!

I can re-write it and say the club were not able to achieve the ultimate goal and that was to win the competition in 2014 and 2015. Sorry if putting the word "failed" got a few worked up.
I've been a fan for a very long time, no need for name calling.
I posted a link inline with clubs recruitment strategy, its an opinion and everyone has one, you should learn to co-exist with follow supports and not tell them elegantly to go somewhere else.

When Hayne left, didn't Parra maintain they had some sort of agreement (doubt legally binding) that he would return there should he come back.
Is it possible that in releasing Jennings we also got Parra to waive any claim to Hayne should he return?

I bet if you asked Robbo and the players whether 2014-15 were a failure they would all say Yes. You can hear that in Robbo's tone whenever he talks about the last two years.
I am sure their heads were down more than the Titans who had no expectations.
We had the best team by far and proven by taking out the MP. We fell over in the big games. We should have at least made one of those GFs. Last year injuries farked us up. The year before we choked. But it was two wasted opportunities.
I am still gutted over the last two years and can't go around skipping and singing "Yay we won the minor premiership".
I would rather the team take the feeling of failure into 2016 than any feeling of success.
Just my opinion and that doesn't make me less of a supporter than anyone else.
