  • Robbo

Since we have lost quite a chunk of that star studded roster we will now finally get to see robbo's influence on the team. If he is really a Wayne bennet calibre coach. i still personally back robbo, think he is the best coach we have had for some time, but without a few key players it will be interesting to see how it pans out

We've lost a lot of star players, but we still have a bloody good team.

After 3 minor premierships, a premiership and a WCC, are there really any doubts about his ability or influence?

I think Robbo will be just fine.

A few idiots might question his worth and contribution. But that's about it.

I wouldn't trade Robbo for anyone. What a remarkable journey he has led us on over the last three years.

2016 is now about integrating the next wave of youngsters into the first grade environment, no better coach than Robbo to do that.

the way Nikorima/Hastings/Mitchell/Burgess/Copley intergrate will determine how quickly we climb back to the top of the mountain.

I do however have fears about where the points are going to come from this year, doesn't seem to be a whole lot of creativity in the squad at the moment, just a lot of special athletes.

The thing about our developing backline is that it is still going to be behind a pretty ferocious and well oiled pack of forwards. I'm hoping Hastings' kicking game will really add another dimension to the team. Pearce is just too dumb to control matches. He has shown it year after year.

It's certainly seems like it's going down the same Sticky-era path but in my opinion, Robbo is a much more astute coach and I think he is more than capable of rebuilding the club.

I believe they have made the right decisions for the long-term by not tying too much cash up with any one player.

Yes we lose talented individuals, but does create a better balance for the team as a whole.

I certainly wouldn't say a bad thing about Robbo but I wouldn't necessarily attribute the teams successes to him. He's had an amazingly talented roster. He can only do what he can do though. I say he carries himself and speaks eloquently in a way that no other coach in the nrl can claim at the present. But as mentioned, robbos real test will be this year we he needs to convert potential into results.

interesting thought came to mind in all the time of trent being coach - he is yet to drop a player for a game however management as too robbo drop a player from their roster!

Absolutely agree - if your forwards are dominating, the younger back line, even a younger, inexperienced one has a solid opportunity to put points on. Hastings is also a game changer - more than what Maloney offered in general play.
