    Like Jamie Soward?

I think the biggest farce was that mid-season when they were ranked #1 on the table, the NRL said 'sure, you can sign Mark Gasnier on $50k a year because it's only 1/2 a season... so he can be below minimum wage despite having played for NSW and Australia'.

Then there was Brett Morris' foot that was planted firmly 1m inside touch (with an official standing right next to him in photos).

Gaaaaar! We were lucky to make that GF (given it was all Todd Carney that year) but that's no excuse to completely rig the GF!

I don't think it's going down the Ricky path at all. The only parallels in their careers are early success & the same club, outside of that it's just really unimaginative analysis.

If there's any parallels to Ricky's path it's surely with Michael Maguire, a rookie coach who bases his philosophy around training harder than anyone else and having a game plan based around playing with more intensity than anyone else. There's already been numerous murmurs of player dissatisfaction and burnout. Not to mention the poor recruitment and development post Grand Final win.

Soward played for Country in 2009-2011. He played for NSW in 2011 but after the GF.
Still a rep player and probably their least experienced rep but I won't check on the rest.

Yes that whole season of forward passes from dummy half every fkn game to winning 16 from 17 with Archer to kicking the best team out of the comp. The entire season was corrupt. Where is ASADA when you need them?
